M-34 will present the devised physical theatre piece Sweat & Tears, created by Jess Goldschmidt (Tall Women in Clogs at the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe; W.R. Salome at Dixon Place) and James Rutherford (All That Dies And Rises at IATI; The Importance of Being Ernest Hemingway at Access Theater) at JACK (502 1/2 Waverly Avenue between Fulton Street and Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn) July 22-31 with performances on Friday, July 22, Saturday, July 23, Sunday, July 24, Monday, July 25, Thursday, July 28, Friday, July 29, and Saturday, July 30 at 8pm and Sunday, July 31 at 3pm. This year's 7th Annual Left Out Festival, a tasty, spiked punch full of plays about Cowboy Bars, OraQuick, Homophobia, Tap-Dancing Lesbians, Cartoons, Plastic Bags, Bullying, Showbiz, Racism, Murder, Lesbian Camp Counselors and (gasp!) Narcissism all stirred with a Big Gay Swizzle Stick. The fun begins on April 14th and continues through May 5th at Stage Left Studio, 214 West 30th St. 6th floor. The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will return to Joe's Pub at The Public Theater on Sunday, February 15 at 9:30 PM to continue the Winter/Spring 2015 Season. The February show will be a celebration of International Bottom Appreciation Day, the holiday traditionally held on February 15, the day after Valentine's Day. The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will continue its engagement at JOE'S PUB at The Public Theater on Sunday, March 16 at 9:30 PM with a celebration of the celebrated TV program 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer.' After a highly-successful season at 54 Below, the show has returned to its downtown roots this year with shows through May. The Meeting* has been called 'delicious and delightfully droll' by The New York Post, and 'hilarious and sardonic' by The Village Voice. A recent story for Slate.com called the evening 'so deliciously icy that it left me shivering with fear and delight.'
