Rhinebeck Writers Retreat is presenting a private reading of the new musical, THE PROXY MARRIAGE, book and lyrics by Michele Lowe and music and lyrics by Adam Gwon, on May 7 in New York City, which includes actors Jason Tam (Jesus Christ Superstar Live on NBC, Broadway: A Chorus Line, If/Then), Whitney Bashor (The Bridges of Madison County), Anika Larsen (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Avenue Q), and Daniel Jenkins (Mary Poppins, Billy Elliot, Big River). The reading is directed by Lonny Price (Sunset Boulevard starring Glenn Close) and music directed by Vadim Feichtner (Falsettos Broadway revival).

Florida Studio Theatre announces its 5th Summer Cabaret Season with three delightfully inventive music revues. Carole's Kings kicks off the season with laughter and smooth harmonies in a unique tribute to one of America's most beloved singer-songwriters, Carole King. Following right behind are The Swingaroos with an all-new show, Music of the Night, celebrating the past century of Broadway hits. Capping off the Cabaret season is Gilbert & Sullivan Unplugged, a stripped-down, funky salute to the 19th century composing duo. The season opens on June 14 and runs through September 23 in FST's Court Cabaret. Single tickets range from $36-39. A subscription to all three Cabaret shows can be purchased for as little as $49. Broadway Dreams demonstrated the unifying power of the arts when the internationally renowned performing arts education program sent nine Broadway professionals to Moscow, Russia for the third consecutive year. Through a landmark partnership created between the non-profit organization, the U.S. Embassy, the U.S. Department of State, and Moscow Broadway, Broadway Dreams offered their unique brand of Broadway master classes to 81 Russian performers of all ages during a ten-day intensive program. The collaboration culminated in three public performances at the Lyudmila Ryumina Concert Hall, Monday, April 23 and Tuesday, April 24, 2018.

The comedic spelling bee, Broadway Bee, features actors from hit Broadway shows competing in a hilarious live event, while raising funds to provide a wide range of performing arts education opportunities for NYC youth.
