Nominees for the 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® for outstanding performances in 2009 in five film and eight primetime television categories and for the SAG honors for film and television stunt ensembles were announced this morning in Los Angeles at the Pacific Design Center's Silver Screen Theater in West Hollywood.

Company of Angels, Los Angeles' oldest non-profit professional theatre company, will bestow honors upon actors Leonard Nimoy, Robert Ellenstein, and performance duo Culture Clash, during its 50th anniversary Charity Gala and Award Ceremony. The soiree will be held at The Alexandria Hotel on Saturday, October 17.

The Obie Award-winning National Asian American Theatre Company (NAATCO), will present the world-premiere of Michael Golamco's play COWBOY V. SAMURAI -- an adaptation of Edmond Rostand's classic romantic comedy, CYRANO de BERGERAC, set in the wilds of Breakneck, Wyoming -- performed by an Asian-American cast, with previews beginning November 4 prior to the official press opening November 8 at the Rattlestick (224 Waverly Place -- west of 7th Ave. at 11th St.) in Manhattan.
