Actor Jason Gedrick has joined the cast of SHOWTIME's Emmy® nominated drama series DEXTER™ for Season 7. Gedrick, who will appear in a multi-episode arc, will play the manager of a Miami-area gentlemen's club that becomes linked to a high-profile murder case. Production on DEXTER begins in May in Los Angeles and will premiere on SHOWTIME Sunday, September 30th at 9:00 PM ET/PT.

SHOWTIME has put together a powerful one-two punch on Sundays this fall with the premieres of its top-rated drama series' DEXTER and HOMELAND. On Sunday, September 30th, DEXTER will make its seventh season premiere at 9:00 PM ET/PT, followed by the highly-anticipated second season of the Golden Globe®-winning drama seriesHOMELAND at 10:00 PM ET/PT. The announcement was made today by David Nevins, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.

Hanks, who will appear in all twelve episodes, will play Travis, a highly intelligent young expert on ancient artifacts who gets linked to a series of grisly murders in Miami. Weller, who will guest star in eight episodes in the upcoming fifth season, will play a troubled Miami Metro police officer who gets caught up in an internal affairs investigation. Production on season five is currently underway and will premiere Sunday, September 26th at 9:00 PM ET/PT on SHOWTIME.

SHOWTIME has announced some key talent castings for some of its acclaimed returning and new original series. For DEXTER, noted actors Shawn Hatosy and Maria Doyle Kennedy are signing on as 5th season guest stars and Julie Benz, whose character Rita was found dead in the 4th season finale, will make a guest appearance in one episode of the acclaimed drama series, premiering this fall. Additionally, award-winning actor Brian Cox will also appear in one episode of THE BIG C, which debuts August 16th at 10:30p PT/ET.

Acclaimed actress Julia Stiles has joined the cast of SHOWTIME's Emmy(R) nominated drama series DEXTER. Stiles, who will appear in ten episodes in the upcoming fifth season, will play a mysterious young woman who forms a unique relationship with Dexter (Michael C. Hall) in the wake of the death of his wife. Production on season five begins this month and will premiere in the fall on SHOWTIME.
