Signature Theatre presents a revivial of 'R' rated musical.

The Burt Reynolds Institute for Film and Theatre (BRIFT) and ArtStage Performing Arts Center are joining forces to help the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves fulfill their mission "to collect new, unwrapped toys and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted."

The Burt Reynolds Institute for Film and Theatre (BRIFT) announced the offering of acting and film making classes at ArtStage Performing Arts Center in Tequesta beginning in September. BRIFT, a non-profit dedicated to educating and involving the community in all aspects of the performing arts, had been looking for temporary office and classroom space while fundraising to build a new Institute in Burt Reynolds Park. The ArtStage location is ideal as it was once home to The Burt Reynolds Institute for Theatre Training (BRITT). Returning to the Tequesta is an opportunity to blend fond memories with artistic development for students attending both BRIFT and ArtStage classes.

To a standing ovation, star Burt Reynolds took the stage at the Lyric Theatre in Jupiter, Fla., on Thursday evening, August 16th, after a special 40th anniversary screening of his widely acclaimed film Deliverance. The standing room only crowd anxiously awaited Reynolds responses to a Q&A arranged by Lyric Executive Director, John Loesser.

The Drama Desk Award-winning Celebrity Autobiography will play East Hampton's Guild Hall with its new edition Celebrity Autobiography: The Next Chapter, tonight, August 24 at 7pm and 9:30pm. The Burt Reynolds Institute for Film and Theatre (BRIFT) recently announced the election of a new Board of Directors. Stepping in as Chair is Douglas Rill, owner of Century 21 America's Choice in West Palm Beach and Palm Beach. Mr. Rill has over 40 years of experience in the real estate industry and serves on the board of the PBC Film and Television Commission. He holds a BBA from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.

Three short plays by award-winning writer Christopher Durang will be performed by actors trained by Hollywood legend Burt Reynolds. The Burt Reynolds Institute for Film & Theatre (BRIFT)announced the addition of a special three-hour seminar entitled ACTORS' NEW DIRECTIONS to the summer schedule. This class, taught by the highly accredited writer/director Frank Eberling, offers actors alternatives for furthering their careers. Eberling has worked on over 100 S.A.G. productions. The thrust of the seminar is to encourage actors to take charge of their careers by producing their own films.
