On this week's episode of Spectrum News NY1's On Stage, host Frank DiLella will get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the Broadway smash hit 'Network.' 

On this day in 2014, the current star of Network, Bryan Cranston opened on Broadway in his Tony-winning role of Lyndon B. Johnson in the hit drama All The Way. 

The National Theatre production of NETWORK announced today that the new play has recouped in 15 weeks on Broadway.

New York Times culture reporter and author of Mad as Hell: The Making of 'Network' and the Fateful Vision of the Angriest Man in Movies Dave Itzkoff will moderate.

Frontier Comedy is thrilled to announce the debut Australian tour for Saturday Night Livealumni, stand-up comedian, actor, rapper and impressionist Jay Pharoah. Pharoah will perform two shows at Sydney's Factory Theatre on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 May  as part of the Sydney Comedy Festival, followed by two shows at Melbourne's only dedicated comedy venue The Comic's Lounge on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 May.

The National Theatre production of NETWORK, produced by David Binder, the National Theatre, Patrick Myles, David Luff, Ros Povey and Lee Menzies, will extend performances through Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street). This is the second and final extension for the limited engagement. Starring Bryan Cranston (All The Way, "Breaking Bad"), Tony Goldwyn ("Scandal," Promises, Promises) and Tatiana Maslany ("Orphan Black," Mary Page Marlowe), NETWORK officially opened to rave reviews on Thursday, December 6, 2018.

On last night's episode of 'Late Night With Seth Meyers,' Tatiana Maslany was a guest on the show. During her interview, Maslany talks about the plot of her Broadway show, 'Network,' sharing a stage with audience members, and shooting live scenes for the play every night.

Now entering its 28th year, Broadway Theatre Project (BTP) announces Ben Vereen will rejoin the visiting faculty team in 2019.  During the 28 years BTP has been educating young artists, Ben has served in a variety of capacities: as a Master Artist, Artistic Advisor to the Project, and Co-Artistic Director. BTP's faculty members in 2019 include dancers and choreographers, vocal technique teachers as well as coaches, directors, playwrights, casting directors, and talent agents and an award winning photographer. The 2019 Summer Apprenticeship program is being held June 23-July 14 on the campus of the University of South Florida. SAG-AFTRA members Tom Hanks, George Clooney, Jennifer Aniston and Regina King are throwing their support behind the union's #StrikeBBH campaign to ensure fair wages and safe sets for actors who work on commercials. They join Rami Malek, Rachel Brosnahan, Scarlett Johansson, Octavia Spencer, Sterling K. Brown and Alec Baldwin in supporting the strike, issuing a joint statement that reads, "We stand united with our fellow performers who work in commercials, who seek fair wages, safe sets, access to health care and a meaningful pension. It's time for advertisers and agencies like Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Inc. (BBH) to do the right thing. When you make an ad, make it union." The ad agency is attempting to illegally abandon its union contract with SAG-AFTRA after almost 20 years.

The series is a legal thriller that rips through all strata of New Orleans society. Cranston will star as a respected judge whose son is involved in a hit-and-run that leads to a high-stakes game of lies, deceit and impossible choices. The 10-episode limited series will be executive produced by Emmy nominees Robert and Michelle King (The Good Fight, The Good Wife). Peter Moffat - whose Criminal Justice served as the basis for The Night Of - serves as showrunner, executive producer and will write multiple episodes, including the first episode. YOUR HONOR will go into production later this year in New Orleans. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc., at the Television Critics Association's Winter Press Tour.
