In addition to its previously announced performances at The Triad, the hysterically funny hit comedy CELEBRITY AUTOBIOGRAPHY will present a special one-night engagement to coincide with New York's annual Gay Pride celebration.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Sunday's BROADWAY BARES XX: 'STRIP-OPOLY' made history by raising $1,015,985 to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This marks the first time in BROADWAY BARES history that the $1 million dollar mark was reached, a goal that had been set this January by BARES creator and executive producer, Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell. The musical revue NAKED BOYS SINGING will run in Provincetown, Massachusetts from June 24 to September 15, theproducersperspective.com reports. The cast will include David Bryant, Ryan Obermeier, Brad Greer, Garrett Bruce, Chris Marchant and Garrett Olthuis. The production will be produced and directed by Tom D'Angora and Michael Duling.

The New York Times is reporting that CELEBRITY AUTOBIOGRAPHY, which plays Monday nights at the Triad in New York has joined the 2010 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which runs from August 5- August 30. In addition, the show will venture to both Pittsburgh and and New Orleans this summer. The show will star Michael Urie and George Wendt. Additional casting is to be announced.

Last night, June 7, Matthew Broderick served as the special guest performer in the famed Celebrity Autobiography at the Triad Theatre. The 2009 Drama Desk Award winner and 2010 Bistro Award winner Celebrity Autobiography: In Their Own Words also featured Mario Cantone, Dick Cavett, Jackie Hoffman, Kristen Johnston, Eugene Pack, Dayle Reyfel, Sherri Shepherd, and Alan Zweibel. BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the event.

Pride Films and Plays, a new not-for-profit, is proud to announce its inaugural activities as an organization. The first two events scheduled are Five Decades of Great Gay Theater, May 9 - June 13, a series of staged reading of great gay plays, Theatre Building Chicago, 1225 West Belmont*, and the Great Gay Screenplay Contest, held in conjunction with Chicago Filmmakers. The contest seeks new screenplays dealing with gay history, characters or themes and relevant to the world. The semi-finalists will be read this fall during Reeling: The Chicago Lesbian and Gay International Film Festival.

The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC), the largest multi-arts festival in North America, will present the 14th Annual Festival from August 13th - 29th, 2010. FringeNYC shows run 2pm - midnight weekdays and noon - midnight on weekends.
