Pride Films and Plays, a new not-for-profit, is proud to announce its inaugural activities as an organization. The first two events scheduled are Five Decades of Great Gay Theater, May 9 - June 13, a series of staged reading of great gay plays, Theatre Building Chicago, 1225 West Belmont*, and the Great Gay Screenplay Contest, held in conjunction with Chicago Filmmakers. The contest seeks new screenplays dealing with gay history, characters or themes and relevant to the world. The semi-finalists will be read this fall during Reeling: The Chicago Lesbian and Gay International Film Festival.

On Monday, July 26th, New York Theatre Barn will present its monthly showcase for emerging writers and performers at the D-Lounge at the Daryl Roth Theater, which will feature the music of Joel Waggoner, Laurence O'Keefe (Bat Boy, Legally Blonde), Ryan Scott Oliver (Mrs. Sharp), Gaby Alter (Band Geeks), Joy Son, Julian Fleisher, and Kirsten Guenther.

The new developmental production of Platinum (www.PlatinumTheMusical.com) starring Donna Bullock (Ragtime, City of Angels, A Class Act) will play the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street) as part of the 2010 NY International Fringe Festival.

America's Favorite Mom, Florence Henderson premiered her concert 'All The Lives of Me' two years ago and has been touring throughout the country. Part theatrical, part concert, Florence takes the audience on a journey through all her lives: daughter, mother, musical theater star, TV star and product spokesperson.

NAKED BOYS SINGING!, the fifteen-song celebration of the male form will hit yet another milestone: it will begin its twelfth year on Saturday July 24th. The Naked Boys are appearing on New World Stages - Stage 4, located at 340 West 50th Street, between 8th & 9th Avenues. Naked Boys plays Fridays at 10pm and Saturday evenings at 8pm.

A new developmental production of Platinum (www.PlatinumTheMusical.com) starring Tony Award nominee Liz Larsen (The Most Happy Fella, A New Brain) and Sarah Litzsinger (Beauty and the Beast, Amour) will be presented by UnsungMusicalsCo. Inc. as part of the 2010 New York International Fringe Festival.

Fire Island Dance Festival, Dancers Responding to AIDS' (DRA) signature event, celebrated its sweet sixteenth year in Fire Island Pines with an undisputed artistic and financial success. The three sold out performances drew record breaking crowds and raised $253,000 for Dancers Responding to AIDS.

Hunter Ryan Herdlicka, star of Stephen Sondheim's critically acclaimed Broadway musical revival, A Little Night Music, made his solo concert debut, 'I Happen to Like New York,' at NYC's premiere night club, Feinstein's at Loews Regency on Sunday, June 27th.
