The T. Schreiber Studio for Theatre & Film, one of the country's foremost professional actor training and performance programs, just celebrated its 46th Anniversary Gala yesterday, April 26, 2015. The event honored Academy Award-nominee and T. Schreiber alumnus, Edward Norton, recently seen in the Oscar-winning films 'Birdman' and 'The Grand Budapest Hotel.'

The Laguna Playhouse Executive and Artistic Directors, Karen Wood and Ann E. Wareham are thrilled to present the Orange County premiere of the Smash-Hit, Off-Broadway musical, MURDER FOR TWO, book and music by Joe Kinosian, book and lyrics by Kellen Blair, choreography by Wendy Seyb, musical direction by David Caldwell and direction by Scott Schwartz.

Composer Jason Robert Brown has built quite a catalog of his own songs, having written the music to such Broadway shows as Parade, Honeymoon in Vegas, The Bridges of Madison County, and many more, but now he is branching out into the works of the Piano Man himself. The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust announces a one night only performance of Broadway Showstoppers featuring award-winning performing artists Mandy Gonzalez, Cady Huffman, Telly Leung and Alton Fitzgerald White will take place on Monday, May 4, 2015, at 7:30 p.m., Cabaret at Theater Square, 655 Penn Avenue, in Pittsburgh's Cultural District. The TRUST Cabaret Series is presented by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and provides a unique and intimate opportunity for audiences to experience the finest cabaret acts in the entertainment industry. The evening will include these four talented Broadway stars singing songs on their repertoire from shows in which they have performed. Stephen DeAngelis is the creator, producer and host of Broadway Showstoppers, with musical direction and accompaniment by Eugene Gwozdz.

After her sold out engagement last fall, BETTY BUCKLEY returns at the end of May for seven performances with a new show tailored specifically for Joe's Pub at The Public called Dark Blue-Eyed Blues. Her new collection of songs - running May 28 through May 31 - will feature 'Musings of a Chanteuse' and will include standards and songs by contemporary writers for some glamour, torch and comedy. She will be joined by Christian Jacob on piano, Tony Marino on bass, Todd Isler on drums and Oz Noy on guitar. Terry Gabis provides sound design.

Theatre Hall of Fame honoree and legendary Broadway star Betty Buckley will be offering a two month Spring Intensive Song Interpretation Workshop at The Modern Art Mu- seum of Fort Worth beginning today, April 15. The training will focus on preparations for Story Songs V, a concert to be presented in June, starring participants in the workshop.

Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater welcomes Alan Campbell to Seminar, directed by Christine Toy Johnson, with Satomi Blair, Jacob Heimer, Rachel Casparian and local favorite Ben Berry. Seminar opens with previews May 14, 15, and runs Thursdays to Mondays through June 13.
