Internationally acclaimed pianist Brian Ganz will celebrate his 12th annual concert in his quest to perform the complete works of Frédéric Chopin with “An Evening of Chopin's Chamber Music with Brian Ganz and Friends” at The Music Center at Strathmore at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023. Ganz will be joined by Carter Brey, the principal cellist of the New York Philharmonic, and Laura Colgate, the Concertmaster of the National Philharmonic.

The extensive run kicks off April 15 at Cincinnati’s Andrew J Brady Music Center and includes stops at Pittsburgh’s Byham Theater, Boston’s MGM Music Hall at Fenway Park, Philadelphia’s The Fillmore, New York’s The Rooftop at Pier 17, Atlanta’s The Eastern, Chicago’s Salt Shed, Milwaukee’s Riverside Theater and Kansas City’s Kauffman Center.

This will be a year of unparalleled creativity and community connection at CRIPtic Arts. Funded by Arts Council England, CAFBank, and Scope, they are launching a wide range of community programmes and artist development opportunities over the next year.

Irish Arts Center will present the U.S. premiere of THISISPOPBABY’s Conversations After Sex, written by Mark O’Halloran and directed by Tom Creed. Performances take place February 22-March 11.

Across the 18 tracks, the trio addresses love, friendship and time with lyrics both poetic and plain-spoken, as they see bridges built, crossed, burned and rebuilt. Recorded at Nashville’s RCA Studio A, the album was produced by longtime collaborator Eric Valentine (Queens of the Stone Age, Grace Potter, Weezer) and features Mike Elizondo on bass.

Under the direction of visionary Yaron Lifschitz, Circa will feature an ensemble of exceptionally skilled circus artists on Saturday, January 28 at 8 p.m., and on Sunday, January 29 at 3 p.m.

Jonathan Biss returns to the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra for three performances on February 10-12, playing the U.S. premiere of Brett Dean's Piano Concerto Gneixendorfer Musik – Eine Winterreise (Gneixendorf Music–A Winter's Journey) under conductor Francesco Lecce-Chong.

On Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 7:30pm and Sunday, February, 12, 2023 at 2:00pm, the La Jolla Symphony will present Armenian-American composer and documentarian Mary Kouyoumdjian's Walking with Ghosts for bass clarinet solo and orchestra at UC San Diego.

Opera North has announced Joséphine Korda as its 2022-23 Female Conductor Trainee. She takes up the intensive 9-week scheme at the Leeds-based company while studying for her masters at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
