The 21st Annual Easter Bonnet Competition was a great success with a near record, $3,345,997 being raised this year by the over 60 participating Broadway, Off-Broadway, and National Tour companies to benefit Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS!

A near record was achieved by performers taking part in The 21st Annual Easter Bonnet Competition, with the second-highest total raised in the event's history.

Outer Critics Circle, the organization of writers and commentators covering New York theater for out-of-town newspapers, national publications and other media beyond Broadway, announced today (April 23, 2007) its nominees for the 2006-07 season in 23 categories.

Theater luminaries Bernadette Peters, Chita Rivera, Christine Ebersole, Tony Kushner, Liev Schreiber, Audra McDonald, Ashley Brown and Jonathan Groff are among the confirmed presenters scheduled to participate in The 73rd Annual Drama League Awards Ceremony and Luncheon

On Wednesday, April 18th, Disney's Beauty and the Beast celebrated its 13th Anniversary with Broadway's biggest cast photo and party.

After many secret meetings and hush-hush rehearsals, the super new Broadway musical, Mary Poppins and Mayor Bloomberg teamed up to create and star in Mayor Poppins, a spoof of the Broadway show with special lyrics and dialogue to poke fun at the Mayor, himself.

On Wednesday, April 18th, Disney's Beauty and the Beast will celebrate its 13th Anniversary with Broadway's biggest cast photo and party.
