Kennedy Center Presents Penumbra Theatre's I WISH YOU LOVE, Opens Tonight

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts presents the Penumbra Theatre production of I Wish You Love written by Dominic Taylor and directed by Lou Bellamy. Following its world premiere at Penumbra Theatre in Saint Paul, Minnesota, the drama with music runs June 11 to 19, 2011 in the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater. I Wish You Love is produced with the assistance of the Kennedy Center Fund for New American Plays. The press opening for I Wish You Love will take place on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. The production features Dennis W. Spears as Nat -King? Cole, singing more than 20 of Cole's beloved songs. Additional casting includes Kevin D. West as Oliver Moore, Eric Berryman as Jeffrey Prince, and Michael Tezla as Bill Henry.

Producing Artistic Director Michael Menendian and Co-Artistic Director JoAnn Montemurro announce Raven Theatre's 2011/2012 Season, which includes Bus Stop by William Inge, Dating Walter Dante, a world premiere by Chicago playwright, Jon Steinhagen, developed through Raven's New Works workshop series; The Price by Arthur Miller and Bang the Drum Slowly by Mark Harris and adapted for the stage by Eric Simonson.

Hershey Felder Returns to the Old Globe in July

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the return of actor, playwright and Steinway concert artist Hershey Felder in a trio of his critically-acclaimed solo shows. Hershey Felder as George Gershwin Alone delighted San Diego audiences in 2006 and 2008 and due to popular demand will be revived for 13 performances from July 1 - 10. Felder will lead audiences on a musical journey through a century of American music in Hershey Felder in Concert: The Great American Songbook Sing-Along from July 11 - 17. The latest addition to Felder's ambitious 'Composers Sonata,' Hershey Felder in Maestro: The Art of Leonard Bernstein, will receive its Globe debut from July 22 - Aug. 28. Previews run July 22 - July 28. Opening night is July 29. Both George Gershwin Alone and Maestro are directed by Joel Zwick. All three events will run in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Arizona Theatre Company Receives $25k Grant From NEA

Arizona Theatre Company has received a $25,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, thanks to the National Endowment for the Arts 2011 Access to Artistic Excellence Award. This grant supports ATC's Theatre Education Residency program allowing the company to continue and expand its education programs throughout the state of Arizona
