The View UpStairs - the provocative new musical written by Max Vernon, directed by Scott Ebersold and choreographed by Al Blackstone - celebrated its 100th performance on Friday, May 19 at 8:00 PM. To celebrate this landmark, the show harnessed the power of community to benefit Point Foundation, the nation's largest scholarship-granting organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer students of merit. For the 100th performance, The View UpStairs will donated 30% of proceeds from all full-priced ticket sales to Point Foundation.

The View UpStairs - the provocative new musical written by Max Vernon, directed by Scott Ebersold and choreographed by Al Blackstone - is thrilled to announce the Original Cast Album will be released by Broadway Records. Produced by Michael Croiter, the original cast recording is now available for pre-order at BroadwayRecords.com. The album will be released on August 11. 

The View UpStairs - the provocative new musical written by Max Vernon, directed by Scott Ebersold and choreographed by Al Blackstone - will partner with Coming Out, a non-profit open-source platform for sharing diverse stories about coming out, for a special event after the performance on Thursday, April 27. Engage with peers, cast and creative members of The View UpStairs, and the Coming Out team as we celebrate the LGBTQ community's vibrant and diverse voices.  

Invisible Wall Productions presents The View UpStairs - the provocative new musical written by Max Vernon and directed by Scott Ebersold - at Culture Project - The Lynn Redgrave (45 Bleecker Street). Choreography is by Al Blackstone with James Dobinson serving as Music Supervisor and Orchestrator.

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF), previously known as The New York Musical Theatre Festival, announced today the winners of the 2016 NYMF Awards for Excellence, which were awarded on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 42West NY (514 W. 42nd Street). Presented by The New York Musical Festival, Jorge de la Garza and German Cavazos, CHILDREN OF SALT is the first Official Selection of the New York Musical Festival from Mexico, CHILDREN OF SALT by Jaime Lozano and Lauren Epsenhart. The musical is directed by Jose Zayas, musical direction by Geraldine Anello with choreography Stephanie Klemons (Associate Choreographer: Hamilton). It performs at Pearl Theatre Company (555 W 42nd St), beginning last night, July 20 through July 24. BroadwayWorld has photos from the opening night festivities below!

 MEND, a New Play by Steven Hillyer and Tim Marback, will have a private reading on Wednesday, May 18th 2016. Dan Lauria (LOMBARDI, A CHRISTMAS STORY) will be joined by April Ortiz (IN THE HEIGHTS), Amy Engelhardt (A COMEDY OF ERAS at ACT), and James Donegan (FORBIDDEN BROADWAY). Marc Tumminelli will direct.

Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff, Artistic Producer) and The Amas Musical Theatre Lab will present staged readings of Distant Thunder, a Native American Musical, with book by Lynne Taylor-Corbettand Shaun Taylor-Corbett, lyrics by Chris Wiseman and Shaun Taylor-Corbett, additional music by Robert Lindsey-Nassif, and music direction and arrangements by Michael Moricz.
