Paradise Theatre presents the Northwest Premiere of THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a new musical with book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, and music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, on September 19.

Palo Alto Players opens its 84th season with the West Coast premiere of the colorful and stirring musical, Big Fish (based on the novel by Daniel Wallace and the Columbia Motion Picture written by John August). With music & lyrics by Andrew Lippa and book by John August, this tender tribute to family and the magic of storytelling is a feast for the eyes, as well as the heart. Big Fish will play for 11 performances (September 12-28, 2014) at the Lucie Stern Theater, located at 1305 Middlefield Road in Palo Alto.

54 Below presented two-time Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole in an exciting new show last night and BroadwayWorld was there. Currently starring on the hit TBS comedy series Sullivan & Son, Christine Ebersole returns to the New York nightclub scene with her first new show in two years. From pop to Broadway, and a few standards and jazz in between, the new show features Musical Director Bette Sussman(Cyndi Lauper, Bette Midler, Darlene Love, Whitney Houston) and a full band.

The Shapiro Sisters, 11-year old Milly Shapiro (Matilda, Original Broadway Cast of Matilda The Musical) and older sister, 14-year-old Abigail Shapiro (Cindy Lou Who, How The Grinch Stole Christmas), recorded the album live at the famed 54 BELOW over a series of three performances this past May and June.

Contra Costa Civic Theatre (CCCT) opens its 55th season with the Bay Area premiere of The Addams Family, a new musical based on the delightfully macabre drawings by cartoonist Charles Addams. CCCT's production will be directed and choreographed by New York-based Alex Perez and music directed by Michael Wiles, with set design by Stewart Lyle, costume design by Lisa Danz, lighting design by Zoe Gopnik-McManus, and sound design by Michael Kelly. On Monday, October 6, 2014 five-time Tony Award nominee Kelli O'Hara and Drama Desk nominee Steven Pasquale will perform an intimate benefit concert titled Kelli O'Hara and Friends at 54 Below, located at 254 West 54th Street. The evening is a joint benefit in support of PopsEd Programs at Ronald McDonald House® New York, which provide creative outlets to the children and families in residence. Hosted by Steven Reineke, Music Director of The New York Pops, the evening will also feature performances by children participating in the PopsEd programs at Ronald McDonald House® New York, along with some special surprise guests. The benefit will start with a champagne reception at 5:30PM followed by dinner and a performance at 6:30PM.

Elena Shaddow has been making her mark on musical theatre ever since her Broadway debut in LES MIS during her senior year at NYU. So when she takes the stage in her first solo concert at 54 Below on Saturday night, she will be bringing a new meaning to "The Golden Age of Broadway."

Jessie Mueller, Andrew Lippa and Margo Seibert have joined the lineup for An Evening of Song benefiting the Art Attack Foundation at Birdland on Monday, September 15th. As previously announced, Chita Rivera, Rosie O'Donnell, BD Wong, Anika Larsen and more will also perform.
