Dramatists Guild Fund Executive Director Rachel Routh and Board President Gretchen Cryer hosted their annual gala Great Writers Thank Their Lucky Stars, last night, Monday, October 27 at The Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street). The Gala is the most critical fundraising event for theD ramatists Guild Fund, the public charity arm of the Dramatists Guild of America. The evening paid tribute to legendary writers and recognizes their significant contributions to American theater.

The cocktail reception will begin at 6:30pm, followed by the dinner and celebration at 7:30pm.

Producer Carolyn Rossi Colpeland revealed to The New York Times that she is in search of a spot on Broadway for the musical AMAZING GRACE.

For decades, millions of Americans sipped their morning coffee and began their day reading three simple words, 'Dear Ann Landers'. Eppie Lederer, better known as advice columnist Ann Landers, answered countless letters from lovelorn teens, confused couples and a multitude of others in need of advice. But, many readers never knew that behind the advice columnist was a woman filled with class, charisma and a whole lotta chutzpah! The touring production of 'The Lady With All The Answers' is produced by the Nebraska Theatre Caravan, and will play at the Ware Center, located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster tonight, October 25, 2014 at 7:30 pm.

Broadway In Chicago is pleased to announce that the Pre-Broadway World Premiere engagement ofAmazing Grace, the new musical with music and lyrics by Christopher Smith and a book byChristopher Smith and Arthur Giron, directed by Gabriel Barre (Andrew Lippas' The Wild Party) and choreographed by Tony Award® winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies), opens this Sunday, October 19 at 6PM at the Bank of America Theatre (18 W. Monroe). Amazing Grace will play Chicago throughSunday, November 2.

Studio East and StoryBook Theater will bring two wonderful children's tales for the whole family to the stage this Fall. A Little Princess, recommended for children ages 6+, will be performed by a talented cast of Eastside youth actors ages 10-19. Kids as young as 3 years old will enjoy the humorous antics that StoryBook Theater's Hansel & Gretel get involved in. StoryBook Theater is performed by adult actors at a variety of Puget Sound-area theaters.

Tony and Grammy Award nominee Andrew Lippa's new oratorio I Am Harvey Milk had its New York premiere last week at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall. Lippa starred as Harvey Milk, Tony and Emmy Award winner Kristin Chenoweth as the Soprano soloist and child actor Noah Marlowe (Mary Poppins, Act One) as 'YoungHarvey Milk.' Set to music in a series of vignettes, "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" chronicles an average day in the life of Charlie Brown (Holland Noel) and his friends Linus (Richie Ferris), Lucy (Dorothy Dillingham Blue), Schroeder (John Devereaux), along with his sister Sally (Kristin Towers-Rowles), and of course his loyal dog Snoopy (Matt Steele).
