Star of the Day's 2023 Season Opener is all about kids becoming superheroes. Based on the popular children's book, Matilda by Roald Dahl, is zany fun. The musical, which garnered a Tony Award, is heartwarming and sometimes heartbreaking but always inspiring. A little girl leads this roller-coaster of a musical with the power of her imagination and determination to find justice for those who are treated unfairly and oftentimes silenced. Matilda learns her 'little' voice can make a 'big' difference-a relevant topic in 2023.

Join the Divas! of the Lehigh Valley as they introduce for the first time ever the Junior Divas! - Jessie Dau, Mikayla Fuentes, Ashlee Galea, Rachel Knappenberger, Jadyn Lynah and Francesca Rhoads and featuring Kirsten Almeida, Andrea Cartagena, Nina Elias, Brian Foley, and Kate Pistone. The Juniors will be singing songs made famous by Broadway divas now and then and accompanied by Amy Foeller.

On Sunday, June 12, 2016, Civic Theatre of Allentown hosted its 6th annual Tonys & Tapas celebration.  The event raised over $25,000 for Civic Theatre and had nearly 100 attendees. The event also served to officially unveil Civic's new logo in preparation for its 89th season. Sharon Glassman, Board President, stated in her welcome, "This evening, Broadway celebrates its best and brightest of the 2016 season by honoring each winner with the prestigious Antoinette Perry Award, thereby assuring these performers a place in theatre history. This afternoon, we not only celebrate those awardees, but also the inimitable magic that the theatre brings into each of our lives."

Star of the Day's Spotlight Cabaret Series, now in its 3rd season, will perform an evening of Duets on Thursday, February 6, 2014 7PM Allentown Brew Works 2nd Floor High Gravity Lounge. Stephen Sondheim's COMPANY is considered one of the more challenging musicals for the cast, crew and orchestra, but if it is done well it provides for an enjoyable evening of theatrical entertainment. Pennsylvania Playhouse produces a successful show with their production of COMPANY.

The Tony-Award winning musical, Company is set to open at the Pennsylvania Playhouse this month.
