The new musical Factory Girls will be presented as a part of Pace University's New Musicals Program beginning January 26th through the 30th. Factory Girls features music and lyrics by Creighton Irons and Sean Mahoney and a book by Maggie-Kate Coleman. The reading will be directed by Amy Rogers, the head and creator of Pace University's BFA Musical Theater Program. Musical direction will be by Robert Meffe, the program's resident musical director.

MOCK YOUR WORLD, the spectacularly naughty Broadway musical parody event, returns to the Beechman Theatre on Thursday, November 11 at 9:30 PM. The Musical Theater Program at Pace University is currently accepting submissions of new musical theater works for a series of performances at Pace University in January 2011. Last year's musical was QUANAH written by Larry Gatlin and Tony Dodge.

'Sing For State' - a cabaret to help save San Diego State University's Musical Theatre Master of Fine Arts degree program featuring former students of SDSU's Theatre program now living and working in New York City will be held on Monday, May 10 at Swing 46 (349 W. 46th Street - NYC). Pace University's Pace New Musicals Program, now in it's fourth year, is a workshop initiative that offers students the invaluable opportunity take part in the developmental process of new material with up-and coming writers.

Quanah is the musical journey of Comanche chief Quanah Parker and his mother, Cynthia Ann Parker, who was kidnapped as a girl and raised by the Comanches as one of their own. It is about Christians, Comanches and Texas Rangers; killing and heartbreak and heroes; and how Quanah came to lead his people from the prairie to The White Man's Road.
