The Mystic Museum Of Art Opens 'Gifts to the Museum' Exhibition This Month

The Mystic Museum of Art (MMoA) is fortunate to have significant holdings in its permanent collection. The collection includes artwork by the institution's founding members and artists that also played a role in MMoA's development from Art Association to Art Center. Works by Charles Davis, Ward Ranger, Harve Stein, and Yngve Soderberg constitute the core of their collections. Local contemporary artists like Dan Truth, Charles Chu, and Sarah Stifler Lucas may also be found in the collection.
Upended Productions' ALICE to Tour Andersonville, 9/27

8 Andersonville venues, 9 artists, 12 chapters, 6 rabbits, 1 wild afternoon. Noelle Krimm gives audiences a seat at the tea party with a re-imagining of her 2004 hit, Alice. The show opens Saturday, September 27 with tours beginning at 1:00 p.m. and leaving every 15 minutes until 2:00 p.m. All tours start at The Neo-Futurarium, 5153 N. Ashland. Space is limited and advanced purchase is very highly recommended. Don't be late!
DM Playhouse Adds Performances of Disney's ALICE IN WONDERLAND JR., 11/23-12/1

The Des Moines Community Playhouse has added three performances of 'Disney's Alice in Wonderland Jr.' at 4:00 PM, Saturday, Nov. 23; 4:00 PM, Saturday Nov. 30; and 4:00 PM, Sunday, Dec. 1. After a summer away, Artistic Director Erik Austin realized 'there's no place like home,' and has returned Kelrik Productions to the Central Coast.
