By: Dec. 23, 2013

Seattle Public Theater (SPT) Youth Program presents an all-new, original adaptation of Lewis Carroll's timeless classic, ALICE IN WONDERLAND.

Four [free] performances: Friday, January 10 @ 7pm, Saturday, January 11 @ 2pm & 7pm, Sunday, January 12 @ 2pm. Admission to all youth performances are free to the community. Donations are encouraged to support SPT's Theater Education Program and to offer student tuition assistance.

When young Alice Chases after a mysterious talking rabbit she finds herself transported to a topsy-turvy world of fiendishly grinning cats, body-modifying potions, bloodthirsty, apoplectic queens, and all manner of talking animals saying the silliest of things.

"This project was proposed by the students," says SPT Education Director, Shana Bestock. "It is their vision and energy that bring ALICE IN WONDERLAND to the stage. This incredible ensemble of young artists inspires me, from the actors to the designers; they all have huge investment in bringing Wonderland to life. They are full of intelligent whimsy and wonder and magic and mystery, collectively generating sparks of electric connection and possibility. I am thrilled to be along for the ride!"

ALICE IN WONDERLAND is directed by Shana Bestock and features the acting talents of Aliza Cosgrove, Annie Bentley, Anya Jones, Avery Cochrane, Daniel Windus, Finn Hammen, Heather Templeman, Helen Chamberlin, Jamie Achtmeyer, Kayla Brooks, Leela Berman, Mitzi Adler-Wachter, Natalie Delman, Nathanial Mascis, Rachel Warshaw, RubyRose Gonzalez, Sarah Wood, Sofia James along with Anna Klein (Assistant Director), Gabe Airth (Stage Manager), Sarah Rowley (Assistant Stage Manager), Charlie Tadlock (Lighting Designer), Katherine Draves (Sound Designer), Audrey Herrin (Props Designer), Annika Prichard (Costume Designer), Nora Hammen (Hair and Makeup Designer) with Eileen MacDonald, Rachel Rosenbloom, and Sophia Bondi on Running Crew.
