The Public Theater's production of David Byrne, Fatboy Slim and Alex Timbers' smash hit musical, Here Lies Love, opened on May 1st at the Public Theater's Luesther Hall for an open-ended commercial run. The principal cast from the 2013 world premiere of Here Lies Love returns, including Ruthie Ann Miles and Jose Llana as Imelda and Ferdinand Marcos, and Conrad Ricamora as Ninoy Aquino. The cast just visited FOX 5 to perform 'I Am A Child of the Philippines' and you can check out the song below!

Prospect Theater Company (Cara Reichel, Producing Artistic Director / Melissa Huber, Managing Director) presents its 2014 annual gala, New York In June, in the Harbor View Room at Battery Gardens, a beautiful and unique waterside location nestled at the southernmost corner of Battery Park. This special one-night-only event will be held on Monday, June 30 with an 8pm concert performance featuring Broadway and Prospect stars. The evening's program will include songs from Prospect's 15 years developing and producing new musical theater by emerging artists, including recent productions of Jasper in Deadland, Tamar of the River, and Unlock'd, as well as sneak peak performances from upcoming shows! Proceeds from the evening will benefit Prospect's ongoing mission to develop and produce new American musical theater works.

The newest THEATER TALK celebrates Here Lies Love, the audience-immersive "poperetta" at The Public, with composer/lyricist David Byrne, and the show's two stars, Jose Llana and Ruthie Ann Miles, who portray real-life Philippine political figures Ferdinand and Imelda Marcos.

The cast of ROCKY, including Tony Nominee Andy Karl, Terence Archie and Margo Seibert just welcomed a special guest to the Winter Garden Theatre. Christopher Barreca won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Scenic Design of a Musical for ROCKY. This is Christopher Barreca's first Tony nomination. His past scenic design work on Broadway includes Search and Destroy, Marie Christine, and The Violet Hour.

The cast of ROCKY, including Tony Nominee Andy Karl, Terence Archie and Margo Seibert just celebrated a major milestone- 100 performances at the Winter Garden Theatre. This year's Tony Awards will literally be a knockout! According to the Associated Press, Broadway's Rocky will be preforming the iconic boxing match between Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed right on the Radio City Music Hall's stage.

Oscar-winning FROZEN songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez are in development on their next project -- a musical titled UP HERE, with ROCKY's Alex Timbers on board to direct. The production is scheduled to make its World Premiere at La Jolla Playhouse in California during the theater's 2015-16 season, though no exact dates have been set.
