The Tony Awards today announced the line-up of performances for the 65th Annual Tony Awards on Sunday, June 12th. Featuring unforgettable opening and closing numbers and non-stop entertainment throughout the entirety of the show - the evening will include performances by the 2011 Tony-nominated Best Musicals, Anything Goes featuring Sutton Foster; Catch Me If You Can with Norbert Leo Butz and Aaron Tveit; How to Suceed in Business Without Really Trying featuring Daniel Radcliffe and John Laroquette; Sister Act featuring Patina Miller; The Book of Mormon featuring Andrew Rannells and The Scottsboro Boys featuring Joshua Henry.

ROCK OF AGES will soon become Hollywood's Biggest Party as filming recently began in Miami, Florida for the New Line Cinema Film. Directed by Adam Shankman, the film stars Tom Cruise as 'Stacee Jaxx,' Diego Boneta as 'Drew,' Julianne Hough as 'Sherrie,' Russell Brand as 'Lonny,' Alec Baldwin as 'Dennis,' Mary J. Blige as 'Justice,' Brian Cranston as the Mayor, Malin Ackerman as 'Constance Sack,' Catherine Zeta-Jones as the wife of the Mayor and Paul Giamatti as 'Paul Gill.'

On what would have been Cole Porters 120th Birthday, The Town Hall (123 West 43 Street), Times Square's landmark concert venue, will present Easy To Love: Andrea Marcovicci and Jeff Harnar Sing Cole Porter, on Thursday, June 9, at 8:00 P.M.

The Oscars have become famous for the galmour. The MTV Video Music Awards for the onstage drama. And then there is the Tony Awards ceremony, the season closer most celebrated for its live performances. Though always full of surprises, BroadwayWorld has gotten the scoop on a number of performances audiences can expect from their favorite Broadway shows this season.

New Line Cinema's film adaptation of the smash hit Broadway musical 'Rock of Ages' has begun principal photography under the direction of Adam Shankman ('Hairspray'). The movie musical stars Julianne Hough ('Burlesque'), with actor/singer Diego Boneta in his feature film debut, Oscar nominee Paul Giamatti ('Cinderella Man'), Russell Brand ('Arthur,' 'Get Him to the Greek'), R&B queen Mary J. Blige, Malin Akerman ('The Proposal'), multiple Emmy winner Bryan Cranston (TV's 'Breaking Bad,' 'The Lincoln Lawyer') and Academy Award winner Catherine Zeta-Jones ('Chicago'), with Oscar nominees Alec Baldwin ('The Cooler') and Tom Cruise ('Born on the Fourth of July').

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Robin Williams and Brooke Shields have been added as presnters for this year's Tony Awards.

The Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA), a new offshoot of the Broadcast Film Critics Association, today announced nominations for the inaugural Critics' Choice Television Awards, hosted by Cat Deeley and scheduled to take place at a luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel on June 20, 2011. ABC was the most nominated broadcast network with 16 nominations, followed closely by NBC with 12. AMC and FX led nominations for cable networks, with nine each. Modern Family was the most nominated series with six.

Variety is reporting that Tony winners Laura Benanti and Katie Finneran will host the Creative Arts Awards portion of the Tonys, which as in the past will take place before the CBS broadcast. Unlike previous years where the ceremony was an hour, this year's has been shortened to 30 minutes. The trade paper reports that details on which awards they'll be presenting this year are not clear.

The music of Rodgers and Hammerstein returns to The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre with its spring production of the classic South Pacific. The production will close on June 5, 2011.

On June 3, 2011, for one night only, The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street) will present Broadway star and Tony Award nominee, Kelli O'Hara in 'An Evening with Kelli O'Hara.' With this concert, Ms. O'Hara is launching an album for Ghostlight records, 'Always.'

The Tony Awards announced today that they will reassemble an all-star cast of the New York Philharmonic's limited run of Company for the 2011 Tony Awards. This once-in-a-lifetime assembly of talent will perform LIVE exclusively at the Tony Awards on Sunday, June 12th. The performance will include: Stephen Colbert, Jon Cryer, Katie Finneran, Neil Patrick Harris, Christina Hendricks, Aaron Lazar, Patti LuPone, Jill Paice, Martha Plimpton, Anika Noni Rose, Jennifer Laura Thompson, Jim Walton and Chryssie Whitehead. The 65th Annual Tony Awards, will air live on CBS, on Sunday, June 12th 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. (ET/PT time delay) and are presented by the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.

Performers already announced from the 1997 hit Jekyll & Hyde include Robert Cuccioli (Tony Nominee), Linda Eder (Drama Desk Nominee), and Christiane Noll (who will also be directing the concert). From 1997's The Life, Lillias White (Tony Winner) and Chuck Cooper (Tony Winner) will perform, along with the newly announced Karen Ziemba (Tony Nominee) from 1997's Steel Pier (Tony Nominee), and The Scarlet Pimpernel's acclaimed star Christine Andreas. Michael Riedel reports in today's New York Post that talks are underway for a potential performance by Bono, The Edge and cast members from SPIDER-MAN on this year's Tony Awards. The show, which hasn't opened yet would traditionally not be offered a performance slot, which are normally reserved for musicals nominated for Best Musical and Best Revival of a Musical. Riedel also reports that in addition to trying to find a spot for SPIDER-MAN, producers are also attempting to find a slot for PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT. Also on the list? Much of the cast of THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS will reunite to perform 'Commencing in Chattanooga' and 'Go Back Home'.
