The National Theatre's internationally acclaimed stage production of War Horse recently extended booking at the New London Theatre to 15 February 2014. Now celebrating its sixth year on the London stage, Nick Stafford's adaptation of Michael Morpurgo's book continues to play to sell-out houses in the West End. War Horse, which has now been seen by over 1.6 million people in London and by over 3 million people worldwide, received its world premiere at the National Theatre in October 2007. French Stewart, TV star ('3rd Rock From the Sun') and local theatre mainstay ('Stoneface': 'Voice Lessons') hosted the 44th annual Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle (LADCC) Awards on March 18 at the Los Angeles Theatre Center, 514 S. Spring St. downtown.

Nick Stafford's adaptation of the novel, WAR HORSE, by Michael Morpurgo is an awe-inspiring and jaw-dropping spectacle brought to life by the Handspring Puppet Company. It's a fascinating and heart-wrenching tale that follows a horse named Joey and a boy named Albert, who will go to great lengths, even joining the Army, to try and locate him. The stagecraft employed for this production is remarkable. The combination of a kind of puppetry where the puppeteer is nearly invisible, dramatic projections for backdrops, and a sharp cast and director, add up to a total theatrical experience that's well worthy of your time and attention. The current touring company now playing the Fox Theatre (through March 24, 2013) is definitely up to the task at hand.

WAR HORSE is now Toronto's longest-running professional drama of all time. Performances began February 2, 2012, at the Princess of Wales Theatre and the show has since played 232 performances. The show's immense popularity has prompted an extension. WAR HORSE will now play until November 4, 2012 at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre. Joey from the National Theatre's acclaimed production of War Horse appeared on stage at the Olympic Park to salute Team GB and the world's athletes. In February of this year War Horse opened to great critical acclaim at The Princess of Wales Theatre, Toronto. War Horse premiered at The National Theatre in October 2007.
