Amphibian Stage Productions to Host NTL Screening of WAR HORSE, 4/2-3

Amphibian Stage Productions (Kathleen Culebro, Artistic Director) in association with the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth (Marla Price, Director) announces that The National Theatre's multi-award-winning production of War Horse, seen by over 4 million people worldwide since its premiere at the National Theatre in 2007, will be broadcast from its home at the New London Theatre in the West End on Wednesday & Thursday, April 2 & 3 at 2PM & 7PM, 2014 at the Modern Art Museum as part of National Theatre Live.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will host 22 theatrical offerings from 20 different countries during WORLD STAGES: International Theater Festival 2014 that will run for three weeks March 10-30, 2014 throughout the Center. The international festival features contemporary theater works offering 13 fully staged productions, 4 theater-focused installations, 3 readings of new works, and 2 forums. From Olivier and Tony Award-winning puppetry to innovative perspectives on old classics, a diverse showcase of theatrical expression will be represented by countries spanning the globe including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, England, France, Iceland, Iraq, Israel, Japan, Kuwait, Mexico, Pakistan, Palestine, Scotland, South Africa, Sudan, Syria, and the United States.

On Wednesday 16 October the first ever UK tour of the National Theatre's War Horse officially opened at Birmingham Hippodrome. Four weeks and 31 performances later, the award-winning production has now been seen by just under 56,000 people playing to complete sell-out houses at every performance.

Having won multiple awards internationally, War Horse is directed by Marianne Elliott and Tom Morris and designed by Rae Smith, with puppet direction, design and fabrication by Basil Jones and Adrian Kohler for Handspring Puppet Company, lighting by Paule Constable, and movement and horse choreography by Toby Sedgwick, with video design by Leo Warner and Mark Grimmer, songmaker John Tams, music by Adrian Sutton and sound by Christopher Shutt. Spoleto Festival USA Announces 2013 Theater Program

Internationally recognized for its adventurous programming, Spoleto Festival USA offers a robust lineup of theater for its 37th season. In addition to the American premieres of Bristol Old Vic/Handspring Puppet Company's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream and Steven Berkoff's modern adaptation of Oedipus, the theater program also includes the French circus company, Compagnie XY, with their physical theater production Le Grand C. Two one-man shows bookend the 17-day Festival: Mayday Mayday featuring Tristan Sturrock, last seen in the 2006 Festival presentation of Kneehigh Theatre's Tristan & Yseult, and Rob Drummond's interactive magic show Bullet Catch. Rounding out the theater program is the live-action graphic novel The Intergalactic Nemesis, complete with original illustrations, a Foley artist, and three actors performing a full cast of characters.
