Primary Stages (Casey Childs, Founder & Executive Producer; Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director; Elliot Fox, Managing Director), in keeping with its mission of inspiring, supporting and sharing the art of playwriting, has announced the line-up for the annual Fresh Ink Reading Series, with staged readings of new plays by members of the Dorothy Strelsin New American Writers Group: Bekah Brunstetter, David Caudle, Cheri Magid, Rogelio Martinez, Janine Nabers, Tommy Smith, and Adam Szymkowicz.

59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer) welcomes the Rubicon Theatre in California to Americas Off Broadway with their critically acclaimed production of THE BEST IS YET TO COME: THE MUSIC OF Cy Coleman, devised and directed by David Zippel.

As previously announced, New York Theatre Barn in collaboration with Prospect Theater Company will present the new all-female musical I Married Wyatt Earp at 59E59 Theaters May 20 - June 12, 2011. The production officially opens on Tuesday, May 24 and stars Heather Mac Rae (Falsettos, Hair, A Catered Affair) and Carolyn Mignini (Tintypes, Fiddler on the Roof).

Directed by Mark Brokaw, the cast will feature Dan Butler as Trey, Julie Halston as Wendy, Marcia Jean Kurtz as Olive and Richard Masur as Sylva. The role of Robert will be announced shortly.

INTAR (Lou Moreno, Artistic Director/John McCormack, Executive Director) will present Drawn and Quartered, a new play by Maggie Bofill, directed by Lou Moreno, beginning performances Off-Broadway Wednesday June 1st, and continuing through June 26th only, at INTAR's theater space (500 West 52nd Street, at Tenth Avenue, on the 4th Floor).

Steppenwolf Theatre Company continues its 2010-2011 season with Sex with Strangers by Laura Eason directed by associate artist Jessica Thebus. The production features ensemble member Sally Murphy with Stephen Louis Grush. Sex with Strangers closes May 15, 2011 in Steppenwolf's Upstairs Theatre, 1650 N. Halsted St.

On the eve of the opening of I Married Wyatt Earp, New York Theatre Barn will present A Celebration of Women Composers. The evening will benefit New York Theatre Barn and will feature songs by emerging songwriters Julia Meinwald (Pregnancy Pact), Zoe Sarnak (The Quad), Katya Stanislavskaya (Women on Love), and Shaina Taub (The Daughters).
