INVASION! -- Jonas Hassen Khemiri's Obie Award-winning play that enjoyed considerable critical and popular success during its U.S. premiere by The Play Company last winter -- will have a return engagement Off-Broadway this fall, again presented by The Play Company, with previews starting September 6 prior to an official press opening on September 13 at The Flea Theater (41 White Street) in Manhattan, where PlayCo will be based for the 2011-12 season, it has been announced by Kate Loewald, Founding Producer, and Lauren Weigel, Executive Producer of The Play Company.

Famous pop star siblings Jimmy & Cherry, along with their manager Captain Leo and pet monkey Boots, have been kidnapped while leaving their recording studio and whisked into another galaxy by an Evil Alien Overlord who threatens to blow up the planet Earth unless they entertain him. As our heroes try to plot their escape they must circumvent the efforts of their foil, Jane, the sexy housekeeper, who might just be a robot spy! Take off into outer space with Radio Deluxembourg, a multimedia, rock musical, sci-?, comedy experience!

59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer) welcomes the return of Firework Theater (formerly Kids with Guns) with the NYC premiere of THE PILLOW BOOK, by Anna Moench and directed by David F. Chapman. THE PILLOW BOOK begins previews on Thursday, August 4 for a limited engagement through Saturday, August 20.

Mind The Gap Theatre and Early Bird Theatricals will present Jessica Fleitman's award winning comedy The Average-Sized Mermaid in August 2011 at The New York International Fringe Festival. Primary Stages is presenting the world premiere of the new comedy, Olive and the Bitter Herbs by Charles Busch with direction by Mark Brokaw. The play was commissioned by Primary Stages. The five-member cast features Dan Butler as Trey, David Garrison as Robert, Julie Halston as Wendy, Marcia Jean Kurtz as Olive and Richard Masur as Sylvan.
