“Recording ‘Another Earth’ live, for the first time ever, after being apart for so long, was truly a special experience,” reveals Kat Factor. “This song has that magic about it…to bring exactly what you need to feel more connected to the moment.”

The title of the album refers to a year, in the not-so-distant future, which many believe is a tipping point for humanity. The final lyrics on the album state, “I hope I see you in the year 2030,” which speaks to a motivation the band shares to propagate seeds for a brighter future.

“A great song can be played many ways. Kicked up by about 20 bpm, this live performance version of ‘Coast’ is a departure from the original, inspired by both the thrill of playing music together again and the magical scenery tucked away at the tip of Baja,” shares the band.

The essential holiday tradition of The Nutcracker ballet continues for one more weekend, presented by the Los Angeles Ballet at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center on Saturday, December 27 at 1:00pm and 5:00pm and on Sunday, December 28 at 2:00pm. This production is the perfect introduction to classic ballet for the whole family as there are many children of all ages in the cast. And given the number of touring companies bringing productions to Los Angeles, it's nice to be able to support a hometown ballet company where many of the featured dancers were born and/or live in our area.

ROCKY hit Broadway last night, officially opening with stars Andy Karl and Margo Seibert at Broadway's historic Winter Garden Theatre. The show features an original score by Stephen Flahertyand Lynn Ahrens and a book by Thomas Meehan and Sylvester Stallone, who was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for the 1976 Oscar-winning Best Picture, Rocky.The production is directed by Alex Timbers, with choreography by Steven Hoggett, and Kelly Devine.
