Now in its ninth year, Gawad Buhay Awards are the first-ever industry awards exclusively for the performing arts. The awarding ceremonies were held last night, May 10, at the Cultural Center of the Philippines' (CCP) Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino.

Votes are cast; polls are closed; and results have been tabulated! This was our biggest year yet! Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA), which produced 'Bona,' the stage adaptation of the 1980 Lino Brocka film of the same name, received five 2012 BroadwayWorld (BWW) Philippines Awards at Lino Brocka Hall, PETA Theater Center Friday, August 30.

Atlantis Productions' Asian premiere of Disney's "The Little Mermaid," Philippine Educational Theater Association's screen-to-stage adaptation of "Bona," and Lunchbox Theatrical Productions' international touring production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Phantom of the Opera" lead the 2012 BroadwayWorld (BWW) Philippines Awards with nine, five, and four nods respectively.
