Jennifer Blowdryer will be performing at Mercury Lounge on January 17 to celebrate the release of her debut EP. Also performing will be Wavy Award winning band Theophobia, and Resurrection Song, a project by artist George Wallace & Friends.

Leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and the Black Theatre Coalition (BTC), a nonprofit dedicated to increasing employment opportunities for Black theatre professionals, have jointly launched a new talent representation fellowship program.

Kristin Chenoweth, Jane Krakowski, Jay and Mark Duplass, plus Industry Leaders Julio Perez, Michele Lewis, Ruben Garcia and Kevin Lin will address college media arts students nationwide. The online Summit is open to all media students from two- and four-year colleges; and attendees will have the chance to participate in virtual networking sessions.

CAA Amplify, Broadway Advocacy Coalition, and The Movement Theatre Company co-hosted a celebration of this fall’s eight Black playwrights on Broadway. The event was held on Monday, December 6th at the Paradise Room at The Times Square EDITION. 

The first 90 registrants for the summit participated in a bonus exclusive: virtual networking meetings sponsored by CAA with prominent television professionals, many of whom are Foundation alumni.

The Royal Shakespeare Company's West End production of Matilda The Musical has announced that Sara Munday and Olivia Wells will join Lily-Mae Evans and Savannah Read in the title role of Matilda from 13 March 2018. Seen by over 7.7 million people across more than 60 cities worldwide, the multi award-winning production is now playing its seventh year in London, booking at the Cambridge Theatre until 10 February 2019.

Filmmakers of the future from across the country, ages 14-23, participated at this year's 2nd Annual Real To Reel Global Youth Film Festival. The festival producers were excited at the results and are working to gear up for next year. The film festival was spearheaded by Better Youth executive director Syd Stewart and 23-year-old program director Johna Rivers, an emancipated foster youth from the community of Watts, California. 

NBC UNIVERSO, the modern general entertainment cable channel for Latinos, today announced that the second stop of the NASCAR Mexico Series is a return home to San Luis Potosí, Mexico for the Potosino 200, and will air live on NBC UNIVERSO this Sunday, April 12 beginning at 3:00 PM ET / 12:00 PM PT.
