Wolverhampton Grand Theatre announced that Olympic Figure Skating champion Robin Cousins has joined the creative team for this year’s family pantomime, SNOW WHITE and has choregraphed the spectacular opening of the show, which will see dancers skating in the opening routine as the curtain lifts on a beautiful winter wonderland.

This Autumn will see the highly anticipated British musical premiere its first full production in select theatres across the UK. Kicking off with a bang on 25 October at the Festival Theatre, Edinburgh, Treason will continue to Sheffield Lyceum Theatre on 31 October and finally explode into London's Alexandra Palace from 08 – 18 November.

De internationale ijsshow SUPERNOVA van Holiday on Ice heeft in de voorverkoop al meer dan vijftigduizend kaarten verkocht. Dat is een unicum in de geschiedenis van de ijsdansvoorstellingen van Holiday on Ice in Nederland. Na een periode van zes jaar is Holiday on Ice eindelijk weer in ons land te zien en gaat de wervelende nieuwe show SUPERNOVA, vanaf 8 december te zien door heel Nederland.

Ex Loose Women presenter Andrea McLean and Olympic gold medalist Robin Cousins MBE will be joined by X Factor winner Dalton Harris and West End stars to raise money for the UNICEF emergency fund that will go directly to their ground operations in Ukraine.  The concert will also be live streamed over stream.theatre.

Charlie Kristensen, the 11 year old passionate anti-bullying campaigner and much-loved host of the online chat show Musical Chairs with #CheerUpCharlie, will be joined by an exciting line-up for his fundraising gala #CheerUpCharlie – The Show on Sunday 31 October 2021 at 7.30pm at The Actor’s Church in Covent Garden, London.

Dit jaar zou de internationale ijsshow na een periode van vier jaar weer in Nederland terugkeren en daarmee een bijzondere traditie in ere herstellen. Kerst en Holiday on Ice zijn immers onlosmakelijk met elkaar verbonden. Al eerder werd bekend dat de oorspronkelijk voor 2020 geplande shows vanwege het coronavirus met een jaar uitgesteld moesten worden. Maar we zijn verheugd mede te delen dat vandaag over precies een jaar, op 9 december 2021, de premiére van SUPERNOVA in Zwolle zal plaatsvinden. De spectaculaire show is daarna nog tot en met 9 januari 2022 in Groningen, Amsterdam, Maastricht en Rotterdam te zien. De voorverkoop van de voorstellingen is zeer succesvol. Inmiddels zijn er al meer dan tienduizend kaarten verkocht. ‘We merken dat mensen zich verheugen op een avond uit en ook wij hebben lang genoeg ‘ijsvrij’ gehad,’ laat Peter O’Keeffe, de CEO van Holiday on Ice en producer van SUPERNOVA weten. ‘Iedereen wil dolgraag de schaatsen weer onderbinden en schitteren op het ijs. Omdat er zoveel belangstelling is, hebben we onlangs ook nog Rotterdam aan de serie voorstellingen toegevoegd.’ SUPERNOVA is van 9 december 2021 tot en met 9 januari 2022 in vijf grote Nederlandse steden te zien. In deze internationale show van allure komt het publiek ogen en oren te kort. De schaatsers zijn deze keer niet alleen op, maar zelfs bóven het ijs te zien. Voor de voorstelling zijn meer dan 300 kostuums gemaakt en is een indrukwekkend 3D hightech decor ontwikkeld. De creatieve leiding van SUPERNOVA is in handen van voormalig kunstschaatser Robin Cousins, die naast Olympisch goud winnaar ook tweevoudig wereldkampioen is namens Groot-Brittannië. Na zijn sportcarrière ging hij als schaatser aan de slag bij Holiday on Ice, waar hij als Creative Director aan de wieg stond van diverse shows. Het kostuumontwerp is verzorgd door Stefano Canulli, haute couture ontwerper voor onder meer Thierry Mugler en Valentino. Het decorontwerp is in handen van Stufish, onder andere verantwoordelijk voor de live shows van Beyonce, U2, Madonna en Pink Floyd. Holiday on Ice is in haar 77-jarig bestaan uitgegroeid tot de meest populaire ijsshow ter wereld. Inmiddels bezochten meer dan 333 miljoen mensen een van de shows van Holiday on Ice.
