Reed reassures audiences that there will be no major changes to the production, which remains faithful to Dickens' tale of the redemption of Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserable, selfish miser whose heart is transformed after he is visited by a series of spirits on Christmas Eve. 'The set and basic story will all be familiar,' he confirmed 'because it's a classic just as it is. It isn't a rewrite, per se, just a script that better suits our company.'

Prepare for an adventure as Hedgerow Theatre stages On the Verge from January 8 to February 8, the wonderfully wacky comedy by Eric Overmyer, a playwright also known for his award-winning work on the TV shows St. Elsewhere, The Wire, Homicide: Life on the Street and Treme.

The Hartt School, the comprehensive performing arts conservatory of the University of Hartford, will welcome soprano Maureen O'Flynn, bass-baritone Claude Corbeil, and historical dance specialist Thomas Baird to the faculty of the Vocal Studies Division.
