 The Detroit Repertory Theatre presents the Michigan Professional Premiere of Night Blooming by Joseph Zettelmaier, opening on April 15 and running until May 22, 2022. Opening nights at the Detroit Repertory Theatre are always a celebration as guests are invited to stay after the play and join in a complimentary champagne toast to a new production on the Rep stage.

 The Detroit Repertory Theatre is turning off the 'ghost light', and turning the stage lights back on for audiences to attend live theatre again starting February 25th. Michigan's longest-running, nonprofit, professional, union theatre, located in the center - the heart - of the city of Detroit, is known for its diversity-centered approach to live theatre. 

The Chicago-based Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation (the Foundation)—an organization that offers unrestricted grants to 175 small arts organizations in Chicago with budgets under $1 million—recently surveyed 91 of its performing arts grantees to garner insights on the obstacles preventing organizations to return to live performances this fall cultural season.

Giving Tuesday is the official launch of the holiday giving season.  In 2020, Williamston Theatre is presenting its fourth annual Giving Tuesday Play-A-Thon on Tuesday, December 1 starting at 11:00am.

The Know Theatre of Cincinnati has announced continuing plans for its 2020-2021 theatrical season. The Know remains committed to its mission as 'Cincinnati's theatrical playground' to present bold and creative new works from unexpected and surprising voices, while maintaining the highest possible level of safety for artists and audiences alike.

First Folio Theatre has announced that they are postponing their first two scheduled productions of the 2020-2021 season.

Peninsula Players Theatre presents a reading of Joseph Zettelmaier's latest theatrical project entitled a?oeHaunted: The Great Lakes Ghost Projecta?? on Monday, March 2, at 7 p.m. at Björklunden, located at 7590 Boynton Lane, Baileys Harbor. Zettelmaier is a four-time nominee for the Steinberg/American Theatre Critics Association New Play Award. Limited general seating is available, and admission is free.

To launch the season of giving, the Williamston Theatre gives back! We'll be presenting readings of six plays a?" an entire season in a day. Readings begin at 10am and run through 10pm. The public is invited to come for one play, or stay for them all. This event is FREE and open to the public, no reservations are necessary. Information will be available in our lobby on several local charities doing amazing work in our community.

Returning for the Holiday season, Otherworld Theatre will produce The Winter Wolf, their hit holiday-themed fairy tale written by Joseph Zettelmaier  and directed by company member Sara Robinson. The play runs December 7, 2019 - December 29, 2019 at Otherworld Theatre. The Winter Wolf was produced in 2018, and will be returning for its second consecutive holiday season. Tickets to all shows are available at www.OtherworldTheatre.org  

The Penny Seats Theatre Company is proud to announce that it will take up residency at Stone Chalet Bed and Breakfast Inn and Event Center on Washtenaw Avenue in Ann Arbor. Beginning in 2020, the Inn's Event Center will house all Penny Seats work, including rehearsals and performances throughout the year, with the exception of the group's annual summer outdoor shows in Ann Arbor's West Park.
