This December, PBS invites viewers to come together to celebrate the incredible career of this culinary icon in an hour-long primetime documentary, 25 YEARS WITH LIDIA: A Culinary Jubilee, an intimate portrait of the beloved chef, restaurateur, cookbook author, television host, and Italian food ambassador.

What a night! One thing leads to another at the New London Barn Playhouse where you are invited to find long lost love, dive into wedding prep, and find out what being family truly means on an idyllic Greek island. Mamma Mia! runs July 20th thru August 7th at 7:30PM with Wednesday matinee performances at 2:00PM and Sunday performances at 5:00PM.

The competitors, all Julia Child superfans, share personal stories about their hero, cook in a kitchen recreated in the likeness of where Julia herself cooked, using the same ingredients Julia used and are even guided by Julia herself, through a larger-than-life television screen right in the middle of all the action.

The Gold Coast International Film Festival is offering a respite for federal workers impacted by the prolonged partial government shutdown; free screenings of Oscar-nominated short films in advance of this year's Academy Awards. The screenings, which are open to the general public, will take place on Sunday, February 10 at 6 p.m. in Port Washington, and Wednesday, February 13 at 7:30 p.m. in Great Neck. A select number of tickets will be set aside at each screening for the government workers.

Last night the non-profit Gold Coast Arts Center and Gold Coast International Film Festival honored  legendary Chef Jacques Pépin at an exclusive fundraising event celebrating his life and career and BroadwayWorld was there.
