Television Personality and Ex Menudo Star Johnny Lozada Comes to GROWING UP GONZALES Off-Broadway


Menudo mania is over but the careers of some of the young stars continue to soar. Johnny Lozada Correa is a Puerto Rican singer, actor, host and television personality. Lozada was a member of the Puerto Rican boy band Menudo during its golden years, joining the group in 1980 through 1984. After leaving Menudo Lozada took on acting participating in many Latin Telenovelas. In 2010, Lozada joined Sal Y Pimienta, A latin gossip show, as a commentator. After two years, he left the show to host the hit morning Television show, Despierta America! For Univision.

National Improve League to Host Comedy Night at Nuyorican Poet's Cafe


The National Improv League, a ground breaking Latino based comedy competition that brings 14 performers, a referee, a special guest and an all inclusive audience to The Nuyorican Poet's Cafe in the East Village. Conceived, directed and produced by award winning writer, director, producer Felix Rojas, The NIL combines just about every element of comedy into a very neat yet chaotic stew of hilarity. Although most of the players in the league are Latino, make no mistake, this show gives a new meaning to the word diverse.
