FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Songs of Ice and Fire: A Night in Westeros on January 3rd, 2019 at 9:30pm.
Main Street is sizzling with the opening production of Theatre Arlington's 46th season, 9 to 5 The Musical. This witty and delightful musical is based on the 1980 hit movie, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick, one of the original screenwriters. The unlikeliest of friends, Violet, Judy and Doralee, combine forces to take control of their company and their egotistical boss, intent on keeping them and every other woman "in their place." As their plan spins wildly out of control, these women unite to seek their sweet revenge, but in so doing - shatter the stereotypes and find true friendship, independence and prove there is nothing they can't do. What a way to make a living!

Oh Secret Garden, a show that is both close to my heart and vastly under produced but sort of for a reason. Despite having several strong voices and bold design choices, Brick Road's version is not quite one of these.
Visit BroadwayWorld Dallas & Fort Worth on Facebook today to enter to win a pair of tickets to Brick Road Theatre's production of THE SECRET GARDEN. THE SECRET GARDEN will be performed at The Courtyard Theater in Plano, October 20, 21, 27, 28 at 7:30, and 22, 28, 29 at 2:30
Brick Road Theatre presents The Secret Garden as the final show of our FINDING A VOICE season. The Secret Garden is the Tony Award-winning (1991, Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score) adaptation of the beloved classic children's novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
QUANAH is a new musical written by and starring Grammy Award-winning country music legend Larry Gatlin.
Quanah, the Parker Family Saga, is a new musical written by Grammy Award-winning country music legend Larry Gatlin. It is the story of Quanah Parker, the last Comanche chief, his mother Cynthia Ann Parker and the Parker Family settling in Texas and the survival and ascendancy of the great Comanche people. It is, in part, a tragic, sad, heartbreaking story-a story of war, bloodshed, death and heartbreak-but it is, more importantly, a story celebrating the strength and power of the human spirit. Gatlin's wife Janis-who says he is never wrong-believes that it is the best music he has ever written.

By all accounts, 2016 has been quite the rollercoaster ride. Fortunately for DFW audiences, the local theatre community and many of the touring productions delivered nothing short of a stellar year, setting quite a high bar for upcoming performances. As we say goodbye to another December, we'd like to look back on a handful of memories that stood out among the long list of Playbills we've gathered. And like raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, these live theatre moments will be remembered as a few of our favorite things.
We present this list in no particular order, and without awards or titles bestowed upon those listed. To everyone who contributed to the DFW theatre community in 2016, we thank you for sharing your time and talents with us.
Lyric Stage continues its 24th season with George and Ira Gershwin, George S. Kaufman and Morrie Ryskind's Pulitzer Prize winning political satire musical OF THEE I SING in concert November 3-6, 2016.
There may only be a few remaining performances of Lyric Stage's ANYTHING GOES, but there's still plenty to see and hear before the ship sails beyond closing night this Sunday. The show (which features a cast of 37 actors and an astounding 33-piece orchestra) appears as a never-before-seen edit, written exclusively for Lyric Stage by musical director and conductor Jay Dias. With over three hours of old fashioned musical theatre comedy on stage, there's surely something to please the whole family in this lavish, timeless tale.
Although it has been revived in New York three times - twice on Broadway and once Off-Broadway - and is frequently produced by community and school groups, ANYTHING GOES has not been seen in its original form since it closed on Broadway in 1935. The original 1934 version of ANYTHING GOES will set sail at Lyric Stage June 17-26, 2016 in the Irving Arts Center's Carpenter Performance Hall. Tickets are available online @ www.lyricstage.org or by calling 972-252-2787.
