On Saturday, December 3, 2022, I had the pleasure of seeing EVERY CHRISTMAS STORY EVER TOLD, which is easily the funniest stage comedy I have seen in the last three years!  It is yet another first-rate Christmas comedy production performed by the Castle Craig Players at the Almira F. Stephan Memorial Playhouse in Meriden, CT.  EVERY CHRISTMAS STORY EVER TOLD is a hilarious satirical farce written by Michael Carleton, James Fitzgerald, and John K. Alvarez.  It is brilliantly directed by Bobby and Carleigh Schultz.  It stars the highly talented trio of Chris Brooks, Rick Bennett, and Bobby Schultz. 

The Castle Craig Players will continue their 30th Anniversary Season with Every Christmas Story Ever Told... (and then some!), running December 2-11 at their intimate Meriden venue.

The hilarious play, believed to be based on an infamous series of boarding house murders in Windsor, CT, runs now through February 20, 2022 at the National Historic Landmark Cheney Hall located at 177 Hartford Road in Manchester, CT.

Hey y'all!  On November 30, I had the pleasure of seeing my favorite Connecticut Cabaret Theatre show of 2019, which is my outright favorite live comedy I have seen in 2019, A GOOD OLD FASHIONED REDNECK COUNTRY CHRISTMAS!  This comedy by Kristine Bauske had this packed theatre laughing all throughout the show.  Director Kris McMurray has found a stellar cast featuring many Connecticut Cabaret Theatre favorites, and continues to bring out the best in them all.   Every actor and actress in this production does so well that it feels like they truly have become their character on stage, something particularly impressive among cast members who we have previously seen also excel in other roles, some that are very different from these roles.

What if the three wise men weren't really all that wise? What if they were just three ordinary guys, avoiding conflicts at home, who happened upon the greatest story ever told? Set the entire story in modern day America, sprinkle in a little redneck humor, and you have the smash A Good Old Fashioned Redneck Country Christmas! Bill, Dave, and Jimmy (played by Connecticut Cabaret favorites Russell Fish, Chris Brooks and Rick Bennett) have had it with their women! Even though it's Christmas Eve, and tradition dictates they should be home, drinking hot cocoa and singing carols, the boys decide to high-tail it into the mountains for a little hunting and a lot of beer.

On Friday, April 5, I had the pleasure of seeing a phenomenally performed comedy about comedy!  As expected, the Connecticut Cabaret Theatre in Berlin, CT has delivered another high quality show, THE COMPLETE HISTORY OF COMEDY (ABRIDGED) by Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor.  Not only is it highly entertaining to watch, but I feel my takeaway from it has helped make me a better person, which to me is the ultimate sign of success for any show!

The Complete History of Comedy (abridged) stars Chris Brooks, Rick Bennett and James J Moran. Hard rock four-piece Like A Stormrelease their new music video for 'Complicated (Stitches & Scars)' today via Century Media/RED MUSIC. The music video was shot by Ron Thunderwood and edited by Sam Shapiro. 'Complicated (Stitches & Scars)' is off of the band's 2018 full-length release, Catacombs, and is climbing the US Rock Radio charts currently at #31 on the chart. 

New Zealand hard rockers Like A Storm have just announced their 2019 Sirius XM Octane Accelerator Headline Tour with support from Royal Tusk and Afterlife. The tour will trek across the US, hitting major markets such as Hollywood, New York, Chicago, Dallas, and more. Hard rockers Like A Storm have just released their new music video for their track 'Pure Evil'. The video was shot south of Chicago by Vince Lundi at the abandoned Methodist Church of Gary, IN, notorious for being one of the most dangerous cities in America. Watch the video for 'Pure Evil' HERE. 

The Connecticut Cabaret Theatre has yet again put forth a great comedy called SOCIAL SECURITY. The show is guaranteed to generate laughs through excellent acting with a talented cast that gels together like a real family.

This hilarious Broadway comedy surrounds a married couple Barbara and David Kahn, portrayed by Connecticut Cabaret Theatre favorites, Rachel West-Balling and Chris Brooks, who are art dealers.

Coming on the heels of the release of their latest release Catacombs, New Zealand's highest-charting rock act Like A Storm will join rock juggernauts Godsmack and Shinedown as direct support throughout the United States. The tour kicks off July 22nd in Clarkston, MI. Like A Stormwill be opening the first 3 weeks of the run and will wrap on August 12th in Dallas, TX. The band will also support Godsmack on their recently announced European Fall tour starting in October. New Zealand's highest-charting rock act Like A Storm is returning with new music next month. The band is slated to release Catacombs on June 22nd via RED MUSIC.Catacombs marks the first album from the band in three years since the release of Awaken The Fire in 2015, which spawned the hit singles “Love The Way You Hate Me,” “Become The Enemy,” “Wish You Hell” and “Break Free.” Catacombs is now available for pre-order in various configurations. For the upcoming 2018-2019 season, The CW Network will expand its primetime schedule to include Sunday night, growing its line-up of original first-run programming from five nights to six nights, it was announced today by Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW. When the new season launches in October 2018, The CW will offer 12 hours of primetime series each week, Sunday-Friday(8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT).

The classic horror story of Dracula is magnificently performed by a talented ensemble cast at the Connecticut Cabaret Theatre, in Berlin, CT. Between excellent acting, sound effects, and props, all on a brilliantly designed set, I highly recommend this show!

This thrilling stage adaptation is closely based on the original, presenting the frightening story that made Dracula a horror classic.
