On Friday and Saturday, February 12-13 at 7:30pm, Schimmel Center at Pace University will present the internationally acclaimed quartet, THE FLYING KARAMAZOV BROTHERS.
It was 'out with the old, in with the new' for another of the Franco Zeffirelli productions that were once the Metropolitan Opera's bread and butter, designed for audiences to cheer for the scenery even when the cast might not have been top drawer. This time, the victims of changing times (and administrations) were the twin bill of Mascagni's CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA and Leoncavallo's PAGLIACCI.

The 2013 Theatre Museum Awards for Excellence were held Monday night, June 3rd, at The Players Club. Honorees at the evening's ceremony included the Distinguished Service to the Theatre Award given, posthumously, to Helen Guditis and The Theatre Arts Education Award presented to Emerson College. The evening also included a special tribute to the Palace Theater in honor of its 100th anniversary. The Palace Tribute was a trip back in time to the vaudeville era. San Jose Repertory Theatre is thrilled to present The Flying Karamazov Brothers in their latest creation, 4PLAY, a ground-breaking blend of nouveau cirque, comedy, theatre, music and, of course, juggling. This exuberant and hilarious off-Broadway rave is full of fast-paced virtuosity and fun as the four brothers, master practitioners of cheap theatrics, juggle ‘til they drop. This limited engagement will run from November 10 to November 14, 2010 at the San Jose Repertory Theatre at 101 Paseo de San Antonio in downtown San Jose. The audience is encouraged to bring zany items to the theater for the Karamazov champion to juggle. Press Opening Night is Wednesday, November 10 at 8:00 p.m.
