The ever-popular Spotlight Cabaret Series at The Winter Park Playhouse will feature Central Florida's well-known comedic actor/singer, David Almeida, in his solo cabaret "Trivial Pursuits" on Wednesday, June 24 and Thursday, June 25 at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Almeida will perform his cabaret about the "silly side of life" with Playhouse Music Director Christopher Leavy accompanying on the piano. This upbeat and funny cabaret will have you laughing and singing along to popular songs made famous by Broadway divas, television shows and comedies like the popular British comedy Monty Python's Flying Circus.

Originally from the Boston area, David is currently a full-time performer at Walt Disney World. He can also be seen on several stages at Universal Studios, and at Sleuth's Mystery Dinner Shows. David was last seen at The Winter Park Playhouse in Forbidden Broadway' Greatest Hits, and has performed in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at The Garden Theatre, as well as several shows at Mad Cow Theatre including his most recent production, The Explorers Club .

General admission tickets are $18 plus a one-drink minimum. Once sold out, a limited number of "standing room only" tickets are available for $10. Doors open at 6:30p.m. for a 7:30 p.m. show.

Don't miss this one-of-a-kind performance! Advance reservations are strongly recommended as the cabaret seating is limited to 54 and performances sell out quickly. Tickets are available online at www.winterparkplayhouse.org and at the box office by phoning (407) 645-0145.
