The Rose Theater will host two information meetings for teens interested in the 2016 production, PRIDE PLAYERS: PROJECT #17 on Wednesday, October 28 from 6:30-8 pm and Tuesday, November 3 from 6:30-8 pm.

Teen actors who are interested in the project should come to The Rose Theater, 2001 Farnam Street beginning at 6:30 pm. Interested teens can attend either information meeting; they do not need to attend both dates. The info meetings will include improvisation activities and an introduction to devising, the process used for the show. No preparation or prior experience is necessary.

PRIDE PLAYERS: PROJECT #17 will be directed by Brian Guehring, Shannon Wade, and Katy Kepler.

Pride Players uses improvisation to create songs, poetry, monologues, and skits that explore what it means to be a gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer or straight-allied teen in Omaha. The troupe rehearses twice a week in November and December, three nights a week in January and all week the first week of February. Pride Players has been honored by many groups including The National Education Association, Heartland Pride, and American Alliance for Theater and Education.

Performances will run Feb 4 (7pm) Feb 6 (7pm) and Feb 7 (4:30pm).

Email briang@rosetheater.org with any questions. No appointment is needed to audition for this show.
