Service Members and Families Honored at Heroes' Night Tonight

Omaha Performing Arts is proud to announce it is, along with the RADIO CITY CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR starring THE ROCKETTES, celebrating the men and women of the armed forces with Heroes' Night tonight. November 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Orpheum Theater. A select group of local Gold Star Families and Blue Star Families members have been invited to attend the special performance of the RADIO CITY CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR free of charge, and a discount has been extended to all members of the military for the performance. Gold Star Families are families who have lost a service member in the line of duty. Blue Star Families is the nation's largest chapter-based military family support organization which strengthens military families and our nation by connecting communities and fostering leadership. Its members are military families from all branches of the armed forces including National Guard and Reserve.

"Blue Star Families is proud to partner with Omaha Performing Arts and provide tickets to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular for incredible military families," said Noeleen Tillman, Executive Director at Blue Star Families. "It is because of organizations like this that we are able to positively impact military families across the country, especially during the holiday season."

Before the start of the RADIO CITY CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR that evening, a general from Offutt Air Force Base will read "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" on stage. Pictures of service men and women will be on display in the lobby throughout the evening.
