A vibrant musical odyssey for children and adults, with music and lyrics by Trevor Bachman, Coromandel is a journey through the mind of poet Edward Lear. Over the course of six 10-minute operas, the audience is propelled through the bizarre, colorful, and offbeat worlds of Coromandel. Coromandel is a land running amuck with strange sounds, quirky creatures and new friends. This fusion of rock, jazz, bluegrass, tango, musical theatre, and classical sounds makes for a diverse, delicious, and sonically satisfying evening. Told with a whimsical simplicity that appeals to audiences of all ages,Coromandel's catchy melodies and storytelling earnestness beckons to the child like imagination of every adult.

Coromandel opens at HERE Arts Center as part of their co-op series October 3, 4, 5, and 6 at 7pm.

The cast features Trevor Bachman, Alex Goley, Andrew Martin, Melissa Lehman, Michelle Uranowitz, and Ebonee Noel. Jordan Fein serves as the director. Coromandel was a part of the HOT! Festival at Dixon Place in July.
