LEFT OUT FESTIVAL 2015 will present MARGARITA AND MAX by Manuel Igrejas, directed By Robert Teague and starring Cheryl King as Margarita and John Fico as Max on Sunday, April 19th and Wednesday, April 22nd at 7:30pm at Stage Left Studio, 214 West 30th Street, 6th Floor. Also on the bill is Igrejas' PITTSBURGH! A Short Play. These and all Left Out performances benefit Bailey House.

A lonely woman, a windy day, a plastic bag: a love story. Margarita is having a rough time. She's unemployed, broke and newly unattached. She's on her way to catch a bus to New York City to interview for a menial job she probably won't get. She could use a miracle. A strong spring breeze blows one of those ubiquitous plastic bags into her path...and into her life. This is no ordinary bag and this is no ordinary day. Margarita and Max won the Best Short Play among other awards at the 2013 Midtown International Festival. Igrejas and Teague return to the Left Out Festival where they premiered last year's well received NSA/No Strings Attached. Theater Reviews Limited said: "Pure persuasive magic. "Margarita and Max" is a brilliant account of the soteriology of chance." Cheryl King will portray Margarita Mariposa and John Fico will be Max. Margarita and Max teaser.

"If you are standing on a chair with a noose around your neck, please slip off the noose and get off the chair. Sit in the chair and wait for the next available counselor..." Rounding out the evening is Pittsburgh! a short play also by Manuel Igrejas and directed by Robert Teague. A desperate call to a suicide prevention hotline, yields surprising results for the caller and the responder. What happens when both parties are at the end of their respective ropes? Pittsburgh! is also directed by Robert Teague and features Ken Dillon and Kristan Brown.

The Left Out Festival features the work of LGBTQ artists and benefits Bailey House, which provides housing and support to people living with HIV and AIDS. As in year's past, this year's festival features award-winning playwrights and performers with a special focus on Transgender issues. In the 8 years since the Left Out Festival began, Stage Left has donated nearly $10,000 to Bailey House and produced over 200 plays and solo shows by LGTBQ artists.
