The People's Improv Theater proudly announces the return of SOLOCOM following last years' record-breaking weekend, which debuted over 60 world premieres to sold out houses. Creators Toby Knops and Peter Michael Marino are once again seeking all kinds of solo performers from traditional solo show artists to sketch, storytelling, stand up, physical comedy, musicians, multi-media, improv, cabaret and burlesque who are eager to debut their brand new solo comedy.

Toby Knops (creator of NY Improv Fest & NY Sketch Festival) and award-winning solo show artist Peter Michael Marino (Desperately Seeking the Exit) created SOLOCOM to inspire artists to generate new comic material. Last years' 60 shows were carefully chosen from over 100 submissions from around the world. Dozens of shows that made their debut at SOLOCOM 2013 have gone on to tour the world and various festivals including Stage Left, Hollywood Fringe, NC Comedy Arts Festival, Magnet Theater, Edinburgh, and Orlando Fringe. The New York International Fringe is currently presenting David Carl's "Gary Busey's One Man Hamlet" and Leila-Ben Abdallah's "How Did I Get in Here? The Beverly Blondell Story", which both got their start at SOLOCOM.

The deadline for the SOLOCOM Application Form is September 5, 2014.
