Martin Moran's OBIE award-winning play, THE TRICKY PART, will play for one night only, October 19, 2014 at 7:00 PM at TBG Theatre, 312 West 36th Street, 3Rd Floor, NY NY.

THE TRICKY PART, one of the most heralded one-man plays in recent memory, tells a riveting, often funny and always surprising story of one man's journey through the complexities of Catholicism, desire and human trespass. This one night only performance will be a warm up to the show's November tour in India.

Martin Moran: Martin's most recent play, All The Rage, also directed by Seth Barrish, received the 2013 Lucille Lortel Award and Outer Critics Circle Nomination for Outstanding Solo Show. His book, The Tricky Part, a memoir won the 2005 Lambda Non-Fiction Prize and Barnes and Noble Discover Award. As an actor, Martin's Broadway and Off-Broadway performances include: Spamalot, Cabaret, Titanic, Bells Are Ringing, How To Succeed...; Big River; A Mans a Man (Classic Stage Company); Fun Home (Public Theater); Floyd Collins (Playwrights Horizons); A Man of No Importance (Lincoln Center Theater) and Cider House Rules and John Guare's 3 Kinds of Exile at The Atlantic Theater Company. His film and television work includes guest appearances on "The Newsroom;" "The Big C;" "Possible Side Affects;" "Private Parts;" "Law &Order;" "Law & Order Criminal Intent;" "Dellaventura" and "Mary and Rhoda." He wrote the Book and Lyrics for the 2012 "Inner Voices" solo musical, Borrowed Dust, with composer Joseph Thalken recently released on CD and available on I-Tunes. His writing has appeared in Ploughshares and Pushcart Prize. He was awarded a fellowship at The MacDowell Colony and received a New York Foundation for the Arts Grant for Creative Non-fiction. He is at work on his next book, All The Rage to be released next year by Beacon Press.

Seth Barrish: Seth directed the award-winning shows All The Rage (Lucille Lortel Award for BEST SOLO SHOW), My Girlfriend's Boyfriend, (Lucille Lortel Award for BEST SOLO SHOW, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations for Best Solo Show), Sleepwalk With Me (Nightlife Award for OUTSTANDING COMEDIAN IN A MAJOR PERFORMANCE), The Tricky Part (OBIE Award, Drama Desk Nominations for BEST PLAY and BEST SOLO SHOW), Pentecost (Drama Desk Nomination for BEST PLAY), Old Wicked Songs (Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award & Garland Award for BEST DIRECTION), and Good (Straw Hat Award for BEST DIRECTION), among dozens of productions spanning a 30-year career Off Broadway, Off Off Broadway, in regional theater and internationally. Seth co-directed Mike Birbiglia's feature film Sleepwalk With Me. Theaters Seth has worked with include The Intiman, New York Theater Workshop, The Long Wharf, The McCarter, The Geffen Playhouse, Sundance Theatre Lab, The Promenade, The Signature Theater, Asolo Center for the Performing Arts, San Jose Rep, The La Jolla Playhouse, Two River Theater, Playhouse 91, La Mama e.t.c., The Perry Street Theatre, Provincetown Rep, and The Barrow Group-a New York City theatre company where he is Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Director. A professional acting and directing teacher, Seth recently served as a Master Teacher at the International Director's Symposium in Spoleto, Italy, and is author of the book An Actor's Companion-99 Bits of Craft. Seth was a producer on Mike Birbiglia's most recent CD "Sleepwalk With Me Live." As an actor, Seth appears regularly in film and on television.
