This year's American Friends of Rabin Medical Center "Best Of Israel / Best Of New York" Gala is shaping up to be an unforgettable evening. With Charlie Rose hosting for his 2nd year, the annual fundraising gala is being held in the newly renovated Empire Ballroom at the Grand Hyatt New York on Monday, November 1, 2010. Over 600 people will be in attendance, including diplomats, civic, business, medical and philanthropic leaders of their respective industries. Peter Riguardi, President of Jones Lang LaSalle is joining the gala as the dinner honoree.

For one night American Friends of Rabin Medical Center is bringing together the best food, jewelry, fashion, art and entertainment that Israel and New York have to offer. Guest Chefs Todd English and Mika Sharon are collaborating to design a dual menu. Jewelry show will include Judith Ripka, Hanna Stern, Sigal Shohat and others. Israeli fashion designers Mira Zwillinger and Irena Burshtein will present evening and cocktail wear alongside SOHO Boutique Rosebud's casual wear. World-renowned Israeli violinist Shlomo Mintz will be introducing the entertainment portion of the evening. Tom Wopat and Rodney Hicks, acclaimed Broadway Actors, will perform a brief tribute to the Award of Excellence recipients and Broadway producers Barry and Fran Weissler. Legendary Broadway star Chita Rivera with top off the evening. The after-party is featuring Israel's hottest band Hadag Nachash.
