Rattlestick Playwrights Theater presents theaterjam, an all day festival of short pieces featuring many of Rattlestick's playwrights, actors and directors. The brainchild of playwright Dael Orlandersmith, the all day event will take place at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (224 Waverly Place - off Seventh Avenue South between West 11th & Perry Streets) on Sunday, October 17th. Doors will open at 1:30pm. There is a $10 suggested admission charge for all day entry - and includes one free beer! There will even be a raffle drawing for amazing prizes. Patrons are free to come and go as they please and attend any - or all! - of the festival's many offerings. All proceeds will benefit Rattlestick's 2010-11 season.

The theaterjam schedule is as follows:

1:30pm: Doors Open/Raffle Tickets On Sale.
2:00pm: Wonderful written and directed by Mary Laws. Performed by Therese Barbato, Aysan Celik, Julie Kline, Keith Reddin, Bethany Salminen and Michael Stablein.
2:30pm: First Feel written and performed by Peter Coston; directed by Brian Roff.
3:00pm: Flaca Loves Bone written and directed by Pedro Pascal.
3:30pm: Dread written and performed by Pamela S. Jackson.
4:00pm: Rear Exit written by Mando Alvarado. Performed by Mando Alvarado and Jorge Cordova.
4:30pm: girl in window written by Florencia Lozano; directed by Pedro Pascal.
5:00pm: Obsessed with You written by Jess Brickman; directed by Evan Cabnet. Performed by Erin Felgar and Matt Stadelmann.
5:30pm - 6:30pm: Dinner Break and Raffle Drawing
6:30pm: The Game written by Julissa Contreras; directed by Jenna Worsham. Performed by Kevin Mannering and Cesar Rosado.
7:00pm: Three Guys and a Brenda written by Adam Bock; directed by Lisa Steindler.
7:15pm: Jeff Beaver written by Stephen Belber. Performed by Denis Butkus.
7:30pm: RAVE written by Dael Orlandersmith; directed by Chay Yew. Performed by Jack Gwaltney.
8:00pm: The Tsouris of Mary written by David Grimm; directed by David Pittu. Performed by Polly Lee and Alice Playten.
8:30pm: A Selection of Monologues by Lucy Thurber. Performed by Denis Butkus, Samantha Soule, and more.
9:00pm: Y2K written by Craig Lucas;directed by Pedro Pascal. Performed by Maria Dizzia and Sarah Paulson.


RATTLESTICK PLAYWRIGHTS THEATER (Producer) is a multi award-winning company, producing over fifty world premieres in the past sixteen seasons. The company received the 2007 Ross Wetzsteon Memorial OBIE Award for its work developing new and innovative plays. Previous productions include Adam Rapp's American Sligo, Sheila Callaghan's That Pretty Pretty; Or, The Rape Play, Jessica Dickey's The Amish Project, Stephen Belber's Geometry of Fire, Daniel Talbott's Slipping, Lucy Thurber's Killers and Other Family, the off-Broadway GLAAD Award-nominated hit The Last Sunday in June, Craig Wright's Lady, which received a Drama Desk and Drama League Award nomination for Outstanding Play of 2008 and last season's OBIE Award winning production of The Aliens by Annie Baker.
