Cherry Lane Theatre Artistic Director Angelina Fiordellisi and Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced that previews of the world premiere of Charles Fuller's One Night... directed by Clinton Turner Davis, have been postponed, and will now begin Wednesday, November 6, at the Cherry Lane Theatre, 38 Commerce Street. Opening night is set for Wednesday, November 20, at 7pm; the production is now scheduled to run through December 15.

The production has been postponed because of a recent and unexpected death in Mr. Fuller's family. As a result of the new dates conflicting with an actor's schedule, Rutina Wesley has joined the cast in the role of Alicia.

The cast of One Night... also includes Grantham Coleman, K.K. Moggie, Matthew Montelongo, and Cortez Nance Jr.

Rutina Wesley's credits include The Submission (MCC, dir: Walter Bobbie); A Raisin in the Sun (L.A. Theatre Works, dir: Lou Bellamy); In Darfur (The Public Theatre; dir: Joanna Settle); The Vertical Hour (Broadway; dir: Sam Mendes); The Color Purple (Broadway workshop; dir: Gary Griffin); "True Blood" (HBO); "Generator Rex" (Cartoon Network); "The Cleveland Show" (FOX); "Numbers "(CBS); Angry Little God (The Weinstein Company; dir: Daniel Stamm), Last Weekend (Independent; dir: Tom Dolby), California Winter (Independent; dir: Odin Ozdil); How She Move (Paramount Vantage; dir: Ian Rashid); Hitch (Sony; dir: Andy Tennant). She is a graduate of The Juilliard School (Group 34) and the University of Evansville (BFA in Theatre).

What happens to our servicemen and women when they come home? Exploring the lingering effects of trauma, injustice and one woman's recompense, One Night... takes an unflinching look at what happens to women in the U.S. Armed Forces when their decision to serve exposes them to an unforeseen battle against their fellow soldiers. One Night...was commissioned by Cherry Lane Theatre.

Five per cent of ticket proceeds from One Night... will benefit IAVA (Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America), the first and largest non-profit, non-partisan organization for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans.

The scenic design for One Night... is by John McDermott; costume design is by Jessica Jahn; lighting design is by Nicole Pearce; sound design is by Sean O'Halloran; video design is by Gil Sperling. The production manager is Eugenia Furneaux; the production stage manager is C. Renee Alexander; the assistant stage manager is Kristin Pfeifer.
