Lee Summers Continues WINDS OF CHANGE 6/15 At Triad Theatre

Lee Summers continues his open ended run of Winds of Change on Monday, June 15th at 9:30pm at The Triad Theatre, 158 West 72nd Street (between Broadway & Columbus). Winds of Change will feature standards, pop, R&B and Broadway, along with original songs by Summers. The show will return July 13 and August 17, with dates to be announced in September and November.

The show features Timothy Graphenreed (The Wiz) on piano, is directed by Ms. Leslie Dockery, and features violist Nick Orifici.

Lee Summers appeared in the original Broadway Production of Dreamgirls and reprised his same role in the Dreamgirls 20th Anniversary Benefit Performance. Summers was also a featured vocalist at New York's Motown Café and later received critical acclaim from the New York Times for his work in Off-Broadway's Little Ham. As writer, producer, and conceiver, he is co-author/composer of From My Hometown (www.fromyhometown.net, soon to be revived at the Triad) and co-author/composer of The Funkentine Rapture (www.funkentinerapture.com).

Lee Summers' Just A Piano SM Concert Series has presented numerous top artists such as Broadway/TV's Roz Ryan, Tony Award Winners Lillias White and Adriane Lenox, recording sensation Alyson Williams ("Just Call My Name"), Marva Hicks (Caroline or Change), Julie Reiber (Wicked), Crystal Mone Hall (Rent), Shoshana Bean (Hairspray/Wicked), Kevin-Anthony (co-founder of "Black2 Broadway"), Opera diva Shirley Verrett's vocal protégé Erika Banks, The Little Mermaid's Zakiya Young Mizen (featuring Norm Lewis), Drowsy Chaperone's Kecia Lewis-Evans (featuring Tony Winner LaChanze), 3 Time Grammy Nominee/Tony Winner Melba Moore, and Tony Award Winner Rebecca Covington. Lillias White returns in Mondays in September.

Just A Piano SM Concert Series featured pianists include, Timothy Graphenreed (The Wiz), Brian Whitted (Bette Midler), James Samplina, Matt Perri (The Drowsy Chaperone), Onaje Allan Gumbs, Shelton Becton (The Color Purple) and many more.
