CastAndLoose Live! returns to present CastAndLoose Live: #RepresentationMatters on Monday, August 29th.

9:30pm at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater, 425 Lafayette Street, NYC. Tickets are $20 and are available at http://publictheater.org/reserve/index.aspx?performanceNumber=32203. Run time is one hour.

CastAndLoose Live! is based on the Tumblr page created and maintained by actress and writer Lynne Marie Rosenberg (High Maintenance); castandloose.tumblr.com is "your daily dose of show business misogyny, racism and general absurdity," featuring a collection of the worst casting notices the internet has to offer. In CastAndLoose Live!, stars of stage and screen dramatically bring to life some of the ridiculous and offensive breakdowns featured on the blog.

Brush up on your code words like, "Sassy" and "Urban." Find out where you fall on the rainbow from "Caucasian Only" to "Seeking All Ethnics." Join CastAndLoose Live! for another night of terrible, real casting notices, as performed by stars of the stage and screen:

"Seeking 20s/30s - An Asian woman who doesn't have the hard features of most other Asian females - she is more elegant and sophisticated and knows it."

"[LEROY] African American. A young LeVar Burton at heart, aware he's the toKen Black friend but totally cool with it."

This evening we will explore race in the entertainment industry, and, in the wake of our country's current, challenging conversation, why Black Roles Matter. A portion of proceeds will be donated to Kickstart Diversity, an initiative of the media incubator, Big Vision Empty Wallet (www.bigvisionemptywallet.com/kickstart-diversity). As always, come laugh at the problems, while funding the solution.

Lynne Marie Rosenberg will perform with guest artists Marsha Stephanie Blake (Orange Is The New Black), Jean Grae (Internationally renowned lyricist and hip hop artist), Keith Randolph Smith (Broadway's American Psycho), Victor Varnado (Jimmy Kimmel Live, Conan O'Brien), and will interview filmmakers and Kickstart Diversity program participants, Sheyam Ghieth, Emmett Jack, Crystal McIntosh, and Dennis Shinners. Directed by Jenn Haltman.

More participants to be announced; casting is subject to change.
