The Genesis Repertory company is expanding to utilize two theaters – their studio theater at Bay 44th, which has become an Equity Showcase 99-seat theater when needed; and now a 650-seat theater on 27th Avenue with it's own entrance, private bathrooms, dressing areas, and kitchen/concession to be renovated to accommodate full-scale musical and contrACT Productions.

They will be giving the new space a "test run' tonight, April 21, for the Final Projects of their Acting and Vocal Workshops, as well as their Playwrighting Program.

The Final Projects are a series of contemporary monologues, musical presentations, and samples of new plays by the members of the theater arts training program, including Mohammed Saad Ali, Robert Aloi, Christine Conway, Joseph Conway, Sherry Giedd, Ted Montouri, Kristin O'Blessin, Kelly Petlin, Amy Stark, and John Stillwaggon. Each student was given instruction in the preparation and execution of each piece as well as how to market themselves as professional artists.
