Welcome to THE FRIDAY SIX: Q&As with your favorite Broadway stars. Want to know what hooked them to a career in the theater? Their dream roles? Their Broadway crushes? Read on!

In this week's edition, we caught up with PJ Griffith, who stars in the new musical A SCYTHE OF TIME, playing at NYMF July 21-26.

What was your first taste of theater?

My critically-acclaimed turn as "Templeton, The Rat" in the Eli Terry Elementary School production of CHARLOTTE'S WEB, wearing an inside-out grey sweat-suit compliments of TJ Maxx and felt ears compliments of Gail Griffith.

What is your favorite pre-show ritual?

Fro-Yo b4 tha show, yo.

What's your most memorable "the show must go on" moment?

In the entrance of the 3rd performance of AMERICAN IDIOT as "St. Jimmy", I reach into the pocket of my tight jeans and throw a fistful of star-shaped glitter into the air while screaming from a hundred feet above the stage. Only this time as I reach into my pocket, a glitterstar lodges beneath middle fingernail, which starts bleeding profusely. I have to do the raging 5 minute punk-vaudeville number dripping blood all over the stage of the St. James.

What's your dream role?

"Mad Mardigan" in "WILLOW, The Heavy Metal Musical". Or Javert.

Who's your theatrical crush?

Skimbleshanks, The Railway Cat (the cat of the railway train). Or Act I Christine Daae.

What about yourself that would surprise people.

After a mediocre showing on the Pommel Horse at the Olympic Trials, I will NOT be appearing in Rio on The USA Men's Gymnastics Team. But I WILL be appearing in A SCYTHE OF TIME at NYMF as megalomaniac newspaper editor "Whittaker Blackwood".
